#1: Nagisa Furukawa by Time Paladin

A girl who lives in a small town. Because of a mysterious illness she had from birth, Nagisa missed many days of school and has to repeat her senior year. She has a hard time making friends until she meets Tomoya Okazaki, a delinquent student who decides to help her restore their school's drama club. This choice comes from a very personal experience. I've heard a lot of people say that Nagisa isn't a particularly interesting character and they typically prefer some of the other characters in the show. I see where they're coming from to be honest, but for me personally, the emotions I associate with this character are so strong that it doesn't really matter to me what others think. I sympathize and relate with the problems this character faces, like shyness and difficulty talking to other people. Through all of this, there are people in her life that push her to achieve her goals, such as her parents and her friend Tomoya, and she perseveres through the hardships she faces. As things started to go very poorly for these characters, it got to the point where it brought tears flooding down my face. It was the first time I cried for a fictional story in years, and it's since then that I feel like I've been more open to my emotions and the emotions of others. I thought about it for a really long time, and I eventually decided that was reason enough to consider her my favorite character on this list.

Congratulations on completing your list! ^ ^ It was very interesting to see and you had some very good choices! How long did this take to go through though? I'm interested in making my own but It'd take me a lot of work I imagine because I'm not the best at choosing/narrowing my options.

Ah, Nagisa! I should've known xD That's very interesting to find her as your top favorite, but relation really can form a true likeness to a character. It's cool that a show can actually bring such emotions! I'm curious if I'll ever watch Clannad.

I'll think of a character I would love to see drawn by you, probably one you wouldn't likely draw on your own, maybe. I have an idea but I'll think about it first!
