This is lovely. You shouldn't worry about the followers leaving!
In my experience most people unfollow because they only ever followed in hopes that you'd follow them back. Then, when you upload something and it appears in their feed, they're like "oh yeah, they didn't follow me back" and then unfollow.
Also when someone delete their account it counts as an unfollow.
