#9: Akira Takizawa by Time Paladin

Takizawa is such a difficult character for me to explain, so I guess I'll start from the beginning. He starts off by having his memories erased and only being able to recall films that he had seen prior to this. The only things in his possession are a gun and a cell phone with an account containing 8.2 billion yen that can get him whatever he asks for, from a pack of gum to missile strikes. He then discovers that he's part of a game consisting of other people who also have similar cell phones that are all given the vague objective of "save the country," and the winner gets to keep his or her own life.
I think the fun of this character comes from seeing how he handles this scenario, as he's not only surprisingly optimistic about it, but he's also secretly brilliant. He's constantly at odds with the other competitors, who either waste the money given to them on their own selfish desires, or use the "objective" to justify horrible acts. Takizawa is always at a disadvantage, yet he's clever enough to keep up with his opponents and adapts to any change in the situation, to the point where even his opponents are cautious of his unpredictable actions.

I've been uploading these in the morning as soon as I get up, but I'm thinking I might start doing it in the afternoon when people are more likely to see them. What do you guys think? Should I upload these earlier or later in the day?

I've had that predicament myself. Sometimes I'm not sure whether to post in the morning or the afternoon, post it early so it's up before people start posting? Or post it in the afternoon so people see it during and it doesn't get pushed back. I tend to post in the afternoon though most often.

That competition, it reminds me of a gameshow or Hunger games xD I might check this one out! Anyhow, this is a Great drawing!! I really like how you drew the clothes! You drew the shirt wrinkles wonderfully!

@Witzke: Maybe somewhat, except the competition is a secret to everyone outside of it, and the competitors are free to travel the world as opposed to being confined to a single location.

Sounds like Bourne Identity to me!
Jason Bourne wakes up with amnesia, finds he has a ton of money and a gun inside a bank-vault in his name, and then he realizes he's a goverment agent. Then goes onto the movie about him escaping his agent life and being hunted down etc. etc.

@Gills: Oh wow! I've never seen The Bourne Identity, but that does sound very similar. XD
So Hunger Games meets Bourne Identity. Not how I'd pitch it, but I guess that's one way you could explain it to someone. XD
