Niji glanced back at Jell from scaning the horrizon. "Well, yes, but it's not ideal to hide from enemies in it. You make more sound when you walk, and our fur becomes wet, slowing us down and making us cold."
"Well I knew the last part, but how did you find out about the sound thing?"
"Actually," Nyra interupted. "I've kind noticed it to. After you're told that it does increase the sound you make, it's kinda hard not to notice." She said shruging and looking at Jell. "Hey." Niji said suddenly. "Found something. Look there." At this he pointed into the distence. Nyra and Jell had to squint to make out what he was pointing at. "Finally. I hate being out in the open. It makes me feel so... so..." Nyra then finished Jell's sentence. "vaulnerable." "Yeah. That. I hate that." And at that they headed towards the treeline that Niji had spotted.

After they got to the treeline, everything seemed to get quieter. Maybe a little to quiet. They could all still hear the slight drizzle of rain on the leafs above them, but something was deffenetly wrong. "Niji..." Nyra whispered. "I know." He whispered back. "Something is here. Hide." He said quickly. To which Both him and Nyra dove into the brush. However Jell was a little slow on the uptake, so when she did, it was almost to late. "It's a wonderfull thing her tail is green." Niji whispered to Nyra. To which she just roled her eyes.
Two shadow beasts suddenly leaped into the tiny clearing. Nostrals flairing and shadows twisting in the dark as if they had a life of their own. Bl00d read glowing eyes sweeping accross the clearing. "I could have sworn I heard something." Said one. "You aren't alone on that."
As quietly as he could, Niji cursed under his breath. "We've cut off more than we can chew. We need to get out of here." "I know." Nyra said back, just as quietly.

Jell, meanwhile, was hatching a plain in her head. As carfully as she could, she scooped up a small rock, and chucked it accross the clearing when the Shadow Beasts had their backs turned.
"What was that?" One asked. I don't know. I'll stay here. You go look. Make sure it isn't messing with us."
And with that, one scurried away. Jell was about to do it again, but in the oposite direction, but suddenly stopped. "I've smelled that sent before." The Beast said, lifting is muzzle into the air. This made Niji's blood run cold. 'No way.' He thought. 'That can't be the same one that saw me. It.s been so long since then that-'
"Niji. Come out you little demon" The Beast interupted Niji's thoughts and suddenly, the rain stopped, making everything quiet.
Much to quiet...

(ps, i'm thinking about doing another ask Niji, ecsept this time making it an ask to Nyra and Jell as well. Not gonna start it yet, but I might soon.

And yes, since they are out of the rain, and they are still wet, they basicly smell like wet Kell. That's never a goid thing. And this is why the Shadow Beast could smell Niji.
