Ooh, he is so cool! And hey, my dragon Maelstrom is an exile too, and he loathes the Aquilam tribe! He is plotting to gather an army of dragons who have grudges against Aquilam and get revenge on them... I think Maelstrom and Maldius would make a good team of villains! XD

Born several hundred years ago during an earlier war, Maldius' egg was enchanted in an attempt to create a sort of "super soldier" to help Aquilam win the war. His powers grew exceptionally, but with his strength grew a dark lust for superiority and power. Maldius ironically did almost end the war, when he betrayed Aquilam and nearly murdered the king at that time. He was exiled from the mainland, his existence kept somewhat hidden from the majority of Aquilam's citizens, and eventually, Maldius' name became only a rumor, used to deter young dragonets from misbehaving. However, Maldius still remains on that isle, waiting for the right time to strike back. He seeks to bring an end to both tribes, as he feels both are corrupt, though his primary goal is Aquilam's downfall.
