Vin here is an alien that crashed on Earth due to unknown circumstances. Though she's been in a dormant state for a good portion of those eons, she's been recently awakened due to more unknown circumstances, and is now on a constant quest for energy in almost every shape and form. She uses this energy to charge her core, which is located in her chest plate.
She's in actuality made entirely out of light particles [which only gives off the illusion of metal], which she can diffuse and reform into an enormous variety of different weapons and transformations. These are only limited by the sheer amount of particles in her body, and how much energy she currently has.
