These disappearances could easily cause fighting between the tribes too, while the rebels watch them tear themselves apart.

The shadow beasts should either be volunteers or npcs because I can guarantee that if anyone tries to kidnap my current characters, there will be a LOT of biting, clawing, trashing, crashing, necromancing, lamenting and cursing. I think we should make some more willing subjects for the shadow beasts. Just a thought.

Oh yeah, for ideas of purifying the shadow dragons, I was thinking that there could either be a pool or spring of magic water somewhere unknown that could wash away the evil and restore a shadow dragon, or there could be an artifact or monument for cleansing them, like the Relic Stone from Pokemon XD: Gale of Darkness. Or, the dark magic users could just find a way to reverse it themselves XP

Oh gosh the HQ, I guess we can go over that more tomorrow since most of us are going our seperate ways.
Same goes for the purifying I guess.

@Griffin: Do the tribes have a history at all? Because I noticed that in several dragons' backstories, a war is mentioned, and it would be ironic if they were all talking about the same war. Maybe, and I'm just brainstorming here, the land was filled with a bunch of mingled dragons several hundred years ago, until two dragons stepped up to take the throne. The dragon population separated to be led by the one whom they wished to be ruler, and a great war broke out amongst them. Eventually, since the two dragons could not defeat one another, they each claimed a part of the island and set borders. Except for the occasional skirmishes over borders and territory, the tribes lived in relative peace with each other for many years. However, more near the present, signs and suspicions of another war began to spread throughout the two countries, which finally brings us to the present day.

It won't bother me if you don't approve of this theory - I'm just brainstorming, after all. ;)

Lilly: How big/tall is Maldius? Maelstrom is considerably large, and it makes me wonder whether our dragons should be equal in size and height lest one feel like their dragon is lower than the other's. xP

@Griffin Oh yeah, I got to thinking, will King Lennox and Maldius know each other? Because when I wrote Mal's bio, I had figured the king he tried to murder was a different one, but at the same time, I think it'd be cool if Lennox was that king, and Maldius failed to kill him. I think it'd make for a cool "We meet again" scene :3

Lilly: How old is Maldius? Because if we compare their age to Lennox's we could make it possible (also I could tweek his age). But I'm totally down for this if you are.

@Griffin The problem is, I don't really know. His bio says he was born during the previous war, so we'd have to know when it took place. I assume it would be many years, maybe close to 100 though?

Lilly: It's a rough estimate, but I think it's pretty accurate. That would mean Lennox was around 80 something.

lol... I'm just now thinking about if the last war was only a few years ago X3

But I suppose so, he is your character, he can be as old as you want.

@Griffin lol, it's ok X3 I guess we can just say that Maldius' exact age has been forgotten, but it's assumed he's about 100 XP

Once again, can't stay. Considering the nature of the shadow dragons, I think in order to undo the effect of the spell, it would take both a dragon with a mastery in cleansing light magic and a dragon with a mastery in dark magic. The former weakens the enchantment while the latter draws it out and destroys it. Of course, this might prove to be very painful for the one being cleansed, so an artifact or item of some sort that could complete this process more easily would be very welcome. Just a thought.

Lilly: That could work, since he is exiled, no one would be keeping tabs on him anymore.

Did you have a rough day? My day started off pretty rough too, but it's gotten better :) Kinda tired though, it's my bedtime, but I figured I'd stay on long enough to say hi to you ^^

Yaeh just my cousin texted me and it just brought back memories. He not not able to be with the family at the moment he's still recovering at the hospital. Last month he had a double lung transplant so he's not allowed to leave until probably the end of May so he can't be with us during this time. For my grandpa passing and our friend to.

So it's been really hard on him.

That was a very dramatic conversation up there... we really ought to create a time-controlling dragon so that Mac can do everything slowly and drammatically XD

Also, I've been planning out another dragon, but I am willing to let him be a 'standard'. I know I'll grow attached to him, but I actually want to see him as a shadow beast. XD

And speaking of shadow beasts, will the people that own a 'standard' dragon get to design their own shadow form? If we had one shadow design as a template, other people could look at it and shadow-ify their dragon. Did that make any sense? I cannot english right now. 'XD

Lol I'm the same way that why I thought if the standard dragon come from someone else it not as easy to get attached to them since they standard one.

Ok, first question. What did The queen look like? I'm guessing she looked like Lennox except with lighter colored feathers? Idk. Exactly when did she dissappear? And, is she dead?

Basically, I imagined her having white and blue feathers, and being a little more fluffy/feminine than the prince and king.
She disapeared soon after Erwen hatched, but he had enough time to actually know her. And I would assume she's dead, I have no idea what else to do with that loose strand.

Dead, eh? I think I just found the Draugr for Ardens to use as the messager for Erwen. Muahahaha! >:D Seriously though, any idea how she died? And how close was she to her husband and son?

And I was thinking about how the shadow beasts are created, I know it's been suggested that dark magicians are the cause, but I'd just would like to know what's been decided. Like, I was thinking perhaps Maldius could just do it, but if we're going to nave other characters creating the beasts, could Maldius at least create something to let him control them? Like, perhaps a magic collar around their necks to prevent them from just attacking everything. Or maybe Maldius would corrupt the dragons and the magicians would create the object for controlling them?

How time flies, it feels like it was only 9 a few minutes ago... '-'

Well Erwen has a hate for Chrysos and blames them for her absence. I'll make the safe bet and say something fishy happened at the border.
As for how close she was to her family, well she put them over everything. She loved the king with all her heart and her son even more.

Lilly: I don't know if we came up with a direct cause to their creation yet. I like the idea of Maldius having a way to control the shadow beasts though.

@Aggron So like, you suggested Erwin gets turned into a shadow beast so Lennox will have that moment when he realizes the beast he's looking at was his son, and now you're (likely) planning to revive the dead mother and use her to warn Erwin? Why is it always poor Lenny?! lol XD

Ardens better tread carefully. Also, it may seem that I'm really picking on Lennox, but that's just because @Allure hasn't been RPing lately. If they were, Queen Pherial and her heir would be getting a similar treatment.

But yeah, I think the idea of Maldius controlling the beasts would be a good idea, even if he isn't the one creating them. It's one thing to turn a bunch of dragons into mindless, feral beasts, but it's another to have that army of beasts controlled by a single intelligent mind. I'd feel better if more people were here to state their thoughts, though :p

@Aggron: Don't worry about it, Allure should be here next week, I'm trying to see if she can host again...cause I um might not make it to this weeks. *hides under table*

@Lilly Given the inherent nature of minion creation, generally they will answer only to the one that created/summoned them. So, a collar that transfers control to someone else isn't a bad idea.

Ok, cool. First questions: I remember you saying that Aquilam's structure was somewhere between a City-State and Kingdom. Tell me, does Lennox rule over all of the Aquilam settlements or just the capital?

Lennox is the big boss, but there's probably a city leader for the small places. And he doesn't really run the capital, he leaves that to his advisers.

Ah, so their governmental structure is similar to those found in ancient Greece and Persia. Interesting. So, the other settlements are governed by locals? And do the other settlements pay taxes or tributes?

I'm sure the settlements would send materials or goods to the capital as a way of taxes. Maybe like there being a quota to meet by a certain time. That way a mock economy could prosper...we never did discuss if these tribes had currency.

Ok, if it's a set quota, then it's taxes. Well, before standardized currency appeared, people would just keep track of their trades through written records such as clay tablets, papyrus, and even animal bones. Technically speaking, there doesn't need to be a currency, assuming that every individual has a skill or produces tradeable goods. Although, standardized currency would be simpler.
