i think tracing ok when you say you did . but still if you don't like it you don't have to but just don't post mean comments to make the artist sad. sometimes weeks best as traces and people comment mean stuff but sometimes in there gallery theres also traces :[

Credit the original artist more and they won't get as mad at you. Sure, it takes time and effort to trace things, but it's annoying when people take full credit for someone else's work. At this point Colors has more uncredited traces and spammy friend code sharings than original art. :[

Exactly what Arkady said. I don't mind tracing, but when someone tries to take COMPLETE credit for a traced peice of artwork is when I 'hate.'

You'd get a lot less hate if you labled what is or isn't traced. Otherwise, you're just disrespecting the original creator. Plus tracing actually STUNTS your artistic growth, rather than improving it.

I'm guessing you're mad because you've got caught tracing by various users. You should really have wrote somewhere on the description you traced it. Next time, instead of directly tracing, try adding some originality into the piece. Write a disclaimer somewhere saying it's not your work. I'm not against tracers unless they take entire credit. I sorta agree with you. Tracing does take effort, and sometimes it helps improve skill.

Also, don't flame at those people who caught you or others tracing. It's not fair that tracers get more likes and praises for something they copied right off the original, yet their own original pieces are ignored. Understand their point of view and next time, write a disclaimer. It'll help decrease the nasty comments.
