Maelstrom slinked along the Chrysos border on silent feet, eyes and ears both alert. He had to be wary of who he might run into - some dragon might recignize him as the exile from two-hundred years ago.

Noxaura stayed close beside Ambrilla while quietly observing the dragons of the capital as well

Erebus stood stiffly where he was told to wait for the queen. He was quickly growing more anxious.

Crowley flapped his feathered wings and ascended into the sky until he was flying level with the countess. She was larger than him, and the wind from her wingbeats buffeted him in the air. He showed his teeth in a grin and said, 'Hello again, Countess. Anything interesting happened in my absence?'

{Close to the border between Chrysos and Aquilam, Biceras trudges through the trees on the Chrysos side, trying to move quietly and stay hidden under the trees. she carries a large bag on her back. It clinks as she moves. Standing in a clearing about 30 meters away, Ardens Cornu stands waiting for her.}

Bandit, the wingless Chrysos dragon, approached the capital and began looking around warily. He could see a group of dragons gathering to speak to the queen, but he avoided them, having no need to talk to her. Being a Rogue, he probably wouldn't be welcomed by her anyway.

Noxaura turned her attention to the new arrival. She dipped her head down to aknowledge him. "Crowly, it's pleasant to see you."

{As Biceras approaches the clearing, Ardens speaks} Ardens:"Ah, Biceras, good to see you. Sorry for the abrupt request, but things aren't looking so good back home." Biceras:"You got abrupt right! Couldn't this delivery wait until nightfall? If anyone saw me...
Ardens:"I'm sorry, but this couldn't wait. And besides, you're just delivering to a paying customer, right?"

Erebus jumped slightly at the sudden voice of the queen. "Queen Pherial!" He bowed his head down in respect. "I have some news to share from Aquilam"

Crowley made a small movement that might have been an airbourne shrug, looking at the countess through lazy half-closed eyes. 'Nothing much,' he replied. 'Apart from that blind guy, the place was deserted. Those Chrysos cowards must've all been hiding in their city.'

(Of course @Turtlee, hop right in)

Bandit slipped around the market area and, checking to ensure Queen Pherial wasn't looking in his direction, snatched some bread and meat from a stall and hurriedly made his way towards the exit.

"Ah well, one of the dragons I encountered began rambling on about domination and were listing off threats." Erebus lowered his head slightly. "It may not be of concern now, but I'm worried that Aquilam will make advances soon."

Noxaura glanced at the two conversing dragons before slowly sinking down to the ground and landing in the marketplace below them.

(Oh, and I was planning on Mac being a Vice foreign aid Advisor for king Lennox. So he is like a vice Secretary of state)

Mac slithered through the halways frantically, carrying papers.
He ran into the area Lennox was
"A-ah my Lord, S-sory Im l-late!"

As he bowed, the stack of papers he was holding scattered around the room, and Mac squeaked emberassingly, reaching his claws to pick them up.

Hearing the queen talking urgently to a blind black dragon, Bandit made his way out of the city and back onto the empty plains, stuffing his stolen goods into a bag tied to his shoulders. He started towards the Chrysos border, hoping to find a place in the forest to eat and rest.

(Yes! I have a reason to play Lennox now!)

The king turned at put his full attention on Macgyver. He looked at the papers that scattered the floor and slowly lowered the book he was reading.

{Biceras smiles a little}
Biceras:"Right. Well, here's what you ordered. {She gives the large sack to Ardens}"Where did you get that black metal from? And those jewels, I've never seen anything like them before."{Ardens dips his head a little}"I bought them when I was "studying abroad".{Biceras gives a look of surprise and sadness}Biceras:",.....oh, right. I didn't know you brought anything back with you."
Ardens:"Come with me to my cave. There's something we must discuss, and it is not safe here."{Biceras nods and she follows him towards the Aquilam border}

Erebus gave a wary glance in the queen's general direction. "I apologize, and please there's no need to waste resources on me as a reward, I'm simply serving Chrysos"

(Hey @Shadow, glad you could make it. Join in when you're ready)

(Yee!)

Mac's golden-yellow scales flushed and he bowed slightly again.

"I-er... The trade routes are-uh
Well... B-but our trade supply of timber is ecceptionally.... One second, your Majesty..."

He reached for a paper on the floor and looked dissapointed.

"E-exeptionally low...."

Crowley briefly glanced in the direction Noxaura had just flown away, then turned his attention back to Ambrilla. 'I'll be happy if I ever get the chance to fight some of those idiots. I bet I could kill them with my eyes closed!' he said boastfully.

He looked at the floor.

"As reported by L-lady Chrysos"

King Lennox began grabbing any papers left on the floor and sorted them into a neat stack before returning them to Mac. "That is troubling to hear...Is there anything else?"

Bandit was a fast runner, and even when carrying his pack he was quick enough to reach the forest before nightfall. Once there, he lifted his head and sniffed warily, catching a faint scent of dragon mixed with... something else. 'Weird...' he muttered before disregarding it and continuing on his way.

Erebus shook his head frantically. "I couldn't possibly, I have no need for a reward anyways. But I thank you for your generosity!" He bowed respectfully again.

{After crossing the border into Aquilam, Biceras and Ardens come to a dark rock wall.}"Just one second."{Ardens runs one claw down the center of the wall. This causes it to become like black smoke and reveal a deep cavern.}Ardens:"This way." {They walk inside as the entrance seals behind them.}

"W-well... n-no..."

But before he finished his scentence, he bit his toungue and turned back around.

"Well... Foreign afair between the two Kingdoms- er Tribes are becoming bitter... If you need a meeting planned... I-I could help... Er- or uh..."

He bowed.

"That is all, Your Majesty"

Crowley smirked. 'Nice idea... how about we go and report to him together? I'd like to tell him about the white-eyed old fool.'

Lennox thought quietly for a moment. "Yes, I beleive a meeting is in order." He looked around before turning back to Mac. "The seasons are changing, could you please check in with how storage is...I know it's not your department, but with this tension rising, I want us to be prepared"

Erebus waited until her wing beats were far away before lifting into the air as well. Carefully, he began to fly back to the forests.

A light wind ruffled Bandit's mane as he crept deeper into the forest. As he settled down under a tree to eat, he could still smell the lingering scent of dragon in the air, mixed with something almost like metal. It unsettled him, but he knew there were no creatures close enough to attack him without warning.

Mac's ears perked up.

"I-id be honored! I'll report back as soon as possible!"

He bowed once more, then padded away exitedly.

{The cavern is large with many passages leading to different rooms. The entire cave is lit by bioluminescent fungi. Once inside, Ardens places the bag on the floor. Ardens speaks in a serious tone.}Ardens:"Biceras, I have bad news. Aquilam is going to make a move against Chrysos. Another war may be upon us."{Biceras gives a look of surprise and panic.} By the Divines, that's what this was about!? When?! Where?!"{Her panic then turns to anger}"Ardens, don't tell me you intend to join the fight, and that's why you had me make you that armour and rings!"

Crowley pursued Ambrilla into the cave without hesitation, landing a little distance behind her as acknowledgement that she was above him in rank.

Noxaura made her way to the medical caverns. She nodded to a few guards before entering and heading straight to the medicine supplies.

Mac ran across the hallways frantically, searching for anyone, Mainly the trade master.

Realizing she was gone, he panicked, as he promised The King he woul report quicky.

"No! W-where where is she!?"

He outstreched his silver wings and flew up out of a chamber window.

He looked over past the great Kingdom walls and flew upwards.

He landed near the forest and peeked around.

(Sorry for disappearing so suddenly!)

As Maelstrom walked, he caught the faint scent of another dragon in the breeze. //A Chrysos dragon,// he recognized. Since his goal was Chrysos members, he changed direction and headed in the stranger's general direction. Once he located its position, he moved downwind so he could not be detected, then proceeded to inch closer.

Bandit stiffened with a piece of meat halfway to his mouth as the scent grew stronger for a moment, then vanished. He stood up, hastily returning his food to his bag. He didn't feel safe here anymore. //Sometimes being a thief around here sucks,// he thought, knowing that if he was a full citizen of Chrysos he'd be able to rest safely in the capital.

Noxaura panicked as she noticed how low the amounts were. //Oh no, I have to restock immediatly!// She quickly wrote a list and flew out and towards the forest.

Mac looked up at the dark woods, gulping.

"I-i must not fail the king.... I must go in!"

He looked at his shaking claws.

"Get ahold of yourself! I can breathe fire.,. and Im an Anumus! D-dont be afraid!"

He walked into the woods, unknowingly In the direction of Malestorm and Bandit.

{Ardens angrily growls}"Of course not! I asked for the armour and rings because I'm going to try to stop this madness!" {Biceras becomes worried}Biceras:"Stop it? How?" {Ardens turns away}Ardens:"You wouldn't like it if I told you."{Biceras ponders for a second then arrives at a horrible conclusion}Biceras:"No, Ardens! You can't use your Necromancy! If either tribe finds out, they'll kill you!"

Noxaura landed by one of the rivers near the border and began searching for plants. She tossed her bag by a nearby tree not noticing the books falling out in her frantic search

A grin crawled up Maelstrom's face when he finally caught a glimpse of blue and white scales through the foilage, but froze when he noticed that the dragon had been alerted of his presence. Deciding that hiding was now pointless, Maelstrom rose from his crouch and lumbered into the clearing the sstranger was in. "Greetings," he rumbled as he eyed the dragon. He had plenty food, but his unkempt hair and dirty scales proved that he did not live a sophisticated lifestyle. //A thief?// he guessed. //He should be easy to win over, then.//

Erebus landed clumsily into the forest, he didn't sense any dragons nearby and let out a sigh of relief. //I won't get into trouble, but I need to find those roots//.

Bandit was distracted enough by the sudden appearance of Maelstrom that he didn't notice the second dragon approaching from behind. 'And who do ya think YOU are?' he growled in a thick accent. 'Some kinda cyborg dragon?' The idea seemed ridiculous to him.

(Hey guys, I have to go in 15-20 minutes. Just to let you all know.)

Macgyver padded along the woods, looking around at the dark leaves nervously.

//Why am I here?// He questioned himself.

//This is stupid! Ill go bac-//

But to his horror, Macgyver realized he was lost.

He curled up on the forest floor, wimpering. The grass around him flickered with small blue flame, as when he got moody, He had a habit of accidentally setting things on fire.

(Yeah, I need to go too... this'll be my last comment, unless I return quickly.)
Maelstrom cocked his head in amusement. "What else did you think I was?" He rotated his head until the robotic side of his face was in full view of the stranger.

(Alright, it was fun rp'ing with you two, we'll keep going if that's okay with you)

Ardens:"They will try. But If they're busy trying to kill a Necromancer, they won't be attacking each other."{Biceras scowls}Biceras:"So that's your plan?! Run around raising the dead forever so the tribes won't fight?{Ardens chuckles}"Not forever. Just until the leaders see that a war is a bad idea."{Biceras is still frowning}"And our leaders never see eye to eye?"
Ardens:"Then I'll make use of that beautiful blade you forged for me before I left Lecra.
Biceras:"That's insane!"
Ardens:"Is it? One leader is already a pacifist. I just need to get the other side to agree. Once that happens, someone vanquishes The Necromancer, and everyone lives in peace."

(Omg I'm so sorry!)

The king heard the new arrivals and slowly made his way to them. Once he was there he gave them an expressionless look.

Bandit flinched as he saw light gleaming on the polished metal that made up half the dragon's face. 'Wha'ever you are, I don' talk to strangers. The only reason I'm still alive an' free is 'cause I've never trusted anyone but my own thoughts, so I'll bes be off.' With that he turned tail and walked away from Maelstrom.

Macgyver looked up from his crying to se Arrowstone.

He squeaked and hopped backwards, flames tickling around his claws as he got nervous.

"W-who are you?"

Noxaura quickly finished grabbing the herbs in the area and turned to her bag. She gasped when she saw her books on the ground. After dusting them off she put everything in her bag and moved to the next area.

Crowley eyed the king silently and waited for Ambrilla to continue speaking.

Lennox nodded silently. "Go on" He folded his four front legs in front of himself neatly.

(I drew eyebrows on a stuffed dog and now it looks like chuck norris.)

Seeing as Arrowstone had no intention of hurting him, he burst into tears.

The king narrowed his eyes slightly at the information. "Did any violence take place?"

'It was probably because he was scared of ME,' interjected Crowley in a bragging tone.

Macgyver brushed away his tears, as the presence of Arrowstone made him feel better.

"O-oh! Im sorry, Im not so good with remembering faces and muzzles."

He bowed politely, but as he was shaking, it was sloppy.

"I am Macgyver, pleased to meet you."

Noxaura darted through the trees but froze when she heard voices. She made her way over and found Mac and Arrowstone. Upon closer observation Nox could see tears in one of the dragons eyes and immediatley worried about if they were injured.

Biceras, still angry with Ardens, turns and begins to walk to the exit}Biceras: You crazy fool, even of your plan works, you are a Count! Aquilam will expect you to fight this Necromancer! How are you going to fight yourself?{Running up to open the cave for her, Ardens glances worriedly at Biceras}Ardens:"Don't worry about me. I have a plan for that."{He opens the cave}Biceras:"How can I not worry? Your my closest friend! I don't want you to die."{Ardens smirks} Come now, I'm a Necromancer. If I die, I'll just come back."{Biceras scoffs as she takes to the air. Ardens reseals the cave from the outside as he speaks under his breath.}Ardens:"Anything to keep you safe."

Lennox growled quietly. "YOU were on Chrysos territory?" His irritation was beginning to show.

Lennox glared at the two. "I don't want my dragons to get into useless conflicts."

Mac looked up at Arrowstone

"E-everything... Im a blundering idiot.... I go off looking at unfamiliar tracks... In hope to catch a bandit for the King...
But I get lost instead!"

He shook his head in shame.

"And I can't control my maji-"

He stopped as he noticed Nox walking toward them.

( @Turtledove ok, but I think that tradesmaster is a rank that refers to any craftsman, not to the head of trade. I'll still play along though.)

(I think I'm gonna head off now, I'll be back next week. Hope this is an OK time to leave.)

Noxaura ducked her head. "I apologize for intruding...but are you both well? You seem distressed." She directed this to Macgyver.

{As Biceras heads towards her office, she notices Mac, Noxaura, and Arrowstone. She lands in their midst, fearing that it might be a conflict.}Biceras:"What is this? What's going on?"

Mac looked up with a fake calm face.

"Me? Distessed? Well I-"

All ofba sudden a small bramble patch next to the 3 dragons caught fire.

{Ardens walks along the river on the Aquilam side of the border as the sun sets. He scans beneath the ground with a spell that is cast upon his eyes. He searches for the remains of animals and dragons beneath the ground}

Noxaura gave a patient smile to Mac. "What's wrong?"

King Lennox let out a sigh. "Of course, I know...just don't let it happen again, please."

Startled by Biceras' sudden apearance, He took off up to the high branches of a large pine tree with a yelp.

The brambles flames flickered and went out.

(Allure, are you leaving now, because we can stop if you'd like)

(Alright, only if you're okay with us continuing.)

Noxaura quickly turned to look at Bicera. "Oh, hello!"

Mac fluttered back to the ground and looked at them.

"I was doing an assignment for the King.... but I found these strange clawprints! So I folloed them,"
Then he muttered "And got lost"

He motioned to the trees, where the soil dipped down.

"Look! They are huge!"

{Biceras looks among the the dragons who stood around her before turning a suspicious gaze toward Noxaura.Recognizing Mac, she spoke}Biceras:Everything ok, Mac?

Mac brushed his tail on Biceras claw.

"Well... Come look"

He padded over to the footprints.

"You will se why Im upset."

"All of you as well. Come look."

Noxaura went to examine the prints. "Interesting..." She was oblivious to the looks she was recieving.

Mac put his feet up to the prints, to show them a conparison. The imprint was larger than his claws.

"They smell odd.., Like poison or- or blood..."

He shivered and tucked his wings to his sides.

{Ardens walks into a clearing to find that the trees do not grow because he is standing on a mass grave of Unicorns. Appalled and amazed at his find, he quickly checks the surrounding area for other Dragons. Seeing none, he places a stone in the center of the clearing. "These may prove to be very useful.", he thinks to himself. After marking the grave, he keeps walking in the direction of the Aquilam capital.} {Biceras examines the prints curiously. "Could Ardens have raised something and brought it this way?" she thought to herself.}Biceras:"What made these, Mac?"

Noxaura scratched at the soil and looked at the grains on her claws. "I don't think we should be too worried right now...Macgyver, don't you have a job from the king to complete?"

Mac turned to Biceras,
looking disturbed and sorta sick

"I-I don't know. All I can say is that the creature who made these w-wont be far away. T-they are qu-quite fresh u-unfortunately..."

His tail unnintentionally curled around Biceras' as he stared at the prints nervously.

(Whoa, holdup, is Mac an Aquilam dragon? 'Cause Biceras is from Chrysos. How can Biceras hold an office in Aquilam? Does Aquilam allow outsourcing jobs to Chrysos Dragons?)

Mac squeaked.
"Ah! I do! Quite wonderful to see you all... See you around!"

He walked at a quick pace towards the shadowy depths of the pine trees, but suddenly stopped.

He froze like a deer in a headlight.

(I would assume that trade occurs between both tribes, but I can't fully answer your question.)

(AH SHOOT I goofed. I was confused and mixed the two tribes up. XD)

(Bah, the details are unimportant. Onward!) Biceras:"What's wrong, Mac? {She gazes into the pines}

After mentioning jobs Noxaura remembered why she was out here. //What am I doing?! I need to finish my task!// she thought frantically. But she stopped when she noticed Mac's behavior.

(Just forget the whole "I need to find biceras" thing.
Howabout they just know eachother from border conflicts.
Mac deals with foreign affairs.)

Mac still didn't move, but answered in a quiet, non-studdering voice.

"I saw something."

( @Turtledove ok, fine by me. we'll figure out the exact details later)

( I have an Idea for the plot, if you want to hear it. I don't wanna seem controlling or anything)

Mac was still.

"It was too big... Maybe it was a deer..."

Noxaura stood there silently watching the others. Without making a sound she grabbed her bag and began stalking away, extra careful to keep her books inside.

(I'd love to hear your idea, but maybe you should tell us in another place, it's going to get burried here)

(My thought was maybe outcasts found a way to twist dragons into beasts with dark magic and are using them to get back at the kingdoms. Just a thought I had.)

Mac stared into the dark trees.

"Its proably nothing I suppose."

{Worried that it may be a Draugre raised by Ardens, Biceras speaks in a silent tone}Biceras:"Fighting creatures in the forest at night isn't our job. Mac, everyone, let's go now."{She tugs on Mac's tail in an attempt to get him to move}

Mac followed them and turned back to Arrowstone.

"Do you see anything? Or smell?"

Mac tried his best not to show he was nervous.

Nox took one look back at the others before darting away deeper into the darkening forest.

(is darkening even a word? XD )

(Er... I think.....? XD)

"Wait it could be-"

But seeing as Nox was gone, Mac looked up at the trees.

"Now how in the seven skies am I supposed to get home...?"

Mac looked back of the patch of trees.

"Proably just my imagination..."

He streched his wings and looked upwards.

"Maybe I could fly..."

As they flew all flew away, no one noticed the dark shape near the edge of the trees, staring at them....

(You know, we really ought to create a chat room where we can discuss the plot and theme of the story and so on.
What I am wondering right now is: is the main threat a war between the tribes? Or is it a rebellion? Or those mutated shadow monsters?
