uh ok so i wish i could go to an art school. well, i am a self taught artist, and im still improving my drawings, but like,,, art school teaches you things about being an artist in the real world, and it pushes you harder then basic art classes push you/ you push yourself. i do take basic art classes for an hour a week, theyre not the best tho. i dont really learn new things at my art class. they just have me copy pictures. i reallyreallyreally dont like doing that,,,, (cont.)
The Colors! Gallery moderators will look at it as soon as possible.

i mean, copying pictures DOES help new/begining artists learn how to draw. and when i draw realism, looking at refrences of real animals (not copying) helps me draw some parts of the anatomy better
bUT at the point where im at in art, copying pictures really doesnt help. i can draw fine w/out copying a picture, plus THE WHOLE POINT OF ART IS TO BE ORIGINAL (sorry that was in caps i am not angry (forgive me)) and although i dont know for sure yet, i think i want to be a storyboard artist for a job. copying cartoon pictures that another artist drew does not help me at this point (yea at my art class they dont let me draw my own cartoon pictures) creating and improving my own style does. and yea i already have many drawing styles but i wish i could go to an art school that teaches me how to improve that style, be original, and pretty much anything besides "how to draw"
because theres no right way to draw. basic art classes teach you one way "how to draw" but they dont teach (cont)

you about originality, creating your own style, drawing without refrences, making money off your art, etc
thats the stuff i want to learn at this point, , ,
and some of my friends/mutuals go to art schools that teach them stuff like that. and yeah i know i can still learn that stuff @ college, but art highschools sound extremely helpful
oH and dont get me wrong, my art classes arent that bad. the teachers there are very nice and when i was younger those art classes were what taught me how to draw realism. so yeah, thhey did help me alot in the past and still do a little
just, u know, i wish i could go to an art school :v

I know, right? So the only means to improve is to discover a new medium, expand, adapt new techniques to whatever style you want to claim as your own. Or develope as a group, learn to collaberate to the point of working well with practically anybody. There is nearly infinite room to expand in the realms of art. Every inspiration is an open door. Every meeting is an opportunity for growth. Every critique is a means to improve out of respect, spite or simple direction. The only question worth asking is "why". And it... is... a very . . . important . . . question!

This wolf drawing is really good, better than what I could do. I'm just TERRIBLE at drawing animals. You're probably right about art schools not teaching you important stuff like coming up with your own style, but that kind of stuff comes from within ^ ^ I wish I could do art classes, the only things I've ever done so far are just photoshop stuff. -n- Not hands on. So you want to go to an art school/college? Have you tried looking up any near you yet?
