It was a rainy day in Escade: some people were out enjoying the rain, other's were collecting precious water, but most stayed in home. No ships have left the port due to the rain. It was a peacefull day oddly enough. Out in the streets was a small 5 year old coyote boy and his mother. She had just picked him up from a pre-school. He was as happy as can be with his mother. "Mommy, how was your day?" he asked, eagerly wanting to know. (cont in comments)

"It was a normal day Sirius, the boss yelled at me because something was dirty though." She sighed.
"Doesn't he understand that you clean things, if something isn't clean yet it clearly means you haven't done it yet, or someone else made it dirty." Sirius commented.
There was a single vendor out in the streets, somehow completely dry without a shade. Sirius aproached the stand making his mother follow. There was some "magic" items, but what got his atention was a green poncho, it would complement his scarf.
"Mommy, mommy! Can I get that?"
"We'll that depends on the cost." She looked at the vendor, he had large pointed ears and grey hair. He replied.
"Hmm, I have yet to find out what's magical about it since I found it, to me it's useless, so I guess I could exchange it for five (insert currency here)." He held it up presenting it as he spoke.
"Very well, here you go sir." She handed him the money and he handed it to Sirius, it was large and dragged on the ground as he wore it.

He didn't mind the size, because regardless he loved it! As they continued walking home he smiled at the vendor.
"Thank you sir! Have a good day!" The vendor couldn't help but smile back at the happy child.
The rain started to clear out as they arived at their home. It wasn't much compared to some other homes; but they managed with what they had.
His mother unlocked the door, there was a pause before opening the door as some sounds were being heard from the inside, a vase braking could be heard. They both looked at eachother in worry as Sirius clinged close to his mother. She oppened the door and was ready to protect her son at all cost.
They entered to see a dwarfish man rumaging through drawers. He stared back at the mother and son with an evil smile. He grabbed the nearest bludgeon and lunged towards the two. Sirius ran to the door as his mother fought off the burgler, dodging his attacks.

She fought him off and clawed at his face, blood gushing out of the wounds, splattering on her face; this only enraged the dwarf.
Meanwhile Sirius had gone of in the streets yelling for help. There was no one around, most people where in their homes. They heard the small Coyote's crys and some had looked out their windows to see what was going on.
The dwarf had managed to land a blow in her gut: this stunned her and she went down to her knees, the dwarf took the chance and landed a final blow. With one swoop he hit her onmthe head, instantly killing her.
Sirius was still outside yelling for help.
"Someone please help! We're being robbed!" His cry for help reaching few ears. The man had snuck up behind him and continued the battery, knocking out Sirius.
The man had run away as peo0le arived to see the grousome scene, one dead mother and one small child passed out in the mud.

Someone noticed the robber running away, and a few ran after him; other's had called for medical help.
The day had turned into night, and back into day. Sirius woke up in a bed, his head aching. He looked around him, the room was unfamiliar to him. He saw his poncho neatly folded on the ged along with his scarf. A man entered and helped Sirius out of bed.
"What happened?" he asked the man, who he assumed was a doctor.
"Oh you poor child, someone had found you unconscious out in the street infront of a home. Inside was a woman found dead."
Sirius listened to the words coming out of the doctor's mouth and began to cry. He was bawling. The doctor consoled him, but to no avail. All day Sirius grieved for the loss of his mother, his only family. He would hug his scarf, which was made by her, his last possesion from her. Eventually he was let out of the hospital, he was an orphan now.
He lived alone in his house for a full year, managing to get by with the help of neighbors.

Eventually he was kicked out. He had no income and couldn't pay the rent for his home. Aside from being an orphan and all alone he was a vagabond.
He took only his poncho, a bindle, and his scarf with him. He found shelter and ate his remainding food. He didn't want to leave any litter behind so he stuck it inside his poncho's inner pocket. He never noticed but, the poncho seemed to have changed size over time. He stuck the trash in the pocket to later discard.
The next day he was out in town hoping to get a small job from a vendor or anyone else willing to help out a six, or possibly seven year old coyote. He recieved some work and recieved some cash for his hard work. He was about to store it in his pocket but he remembered about the trash from the other day. He reached in there and it felt empty at first, but he rumaged for a bit and got out the trash and threw it away. He put away the money and noted how the coins wouldn't make any sound inside his pocket.

He grabbed a few rocks and put them in there, he expected to feel the weight but it's as if they dissapeared withen his pocket. He then emptied his pockets noting that all he had was too juch for such a relatively small space. He finally found out what made this poncho so magical.
A few years passed, Sirius would grow up being known around Escade, he was a hard worker and would even get along well with the children around the city. He would often visit the library and read mostly non-fiction books. He was fascinated by the various bits of information on the many species of people in the world. Shapeshifters, centaurs, phoenixes, dragons, he even found out he himself could shapeshift.
One day Sirius heard a rumor about a ship that would carry anyone out of Ethos no questions asked.
He boarded this ship, saying goodbye to old friends and ready to see how the world was outside of Escade, hopefully it's as great as the books he's read say it is.

Ah that's amazing! I feel bad his mother died, but I'm glad he got along with his neighbors~ Malakai didn't have it so easy, maybe I should do a full background story on him too? Anywho great story-telling skills pedro I loved reading it!

Wow, this was so awesome!! Your writing sounds incredible here! But I feel so bad for Sirius now QoQ
Lol, I'm pretty sure every character in Artifact RP except for Fiacal is an orphan... Actually, Raven's dad hasn't been proven to be dead, but I myself have no idea if he is alive X'D

Re: Wasn't it Malakai who took Sirius' staff? But yeah, I remember that he has one! Does he carry any other weapons in his pockets?
