Winglesslittlepeople-- I'd say the most important part it just coloring in the background first! It can be done on a white background but it's a lot harder, once you have a background try one color that sorta matches with it and work from there to get all the other colors! ^-^ I started with Star's hair but usually it's best to start with a skin color :D If this was on a white background her hair would be green and marco's face would be purple xD

I just want you to keep on being awesome! Also if you can draw Pit from Kid Icarus with Reshiram from Pokemon, that would be nice, but you don't have to if you can't! Anything is perfect and you are my best inspiration for art!
