They can shadow jump ( ability to move between shadow ), and though they can still shape change A New Nightmare disguise will look sick or thin, but a Ancient Nightmares disguise will appear normal or even beautiful.

They can still Dimension jump but without there companion Fairfin to help pinpoint a location their ability is limited. The Fairfin that accompanied them as dreamers is normally their first victim due to the Fairfin loyalty. The few that managed to escape end up becoming tainted, and not only being separated by there once friend but also there link to their pod in the pool of memories, and is the first time ever being alone. If a Fairfin is found by a Dreamer and returned to the land of dreams sickness can be treated, but they never fully recover. There are some rumors that says if a Nightmare does not devour there Fairfin and if it survives the sickness it will become a Forgotten.

Nightmares can go by different names some even keep dream in their names to mock their former life.

Nightmares are normally solitary Hunters. Villages experiencing Restless sleep and nightmares (where they get their names from), reports of Vanishing residents, and in some cases sickness or plague are most likely to have a Nightmare in there mist.

Some Nightmare just like Dreamers have a second form the call the Tormented (info in a another post soon).

I don't have very many villain characters, but the Nightmare are by far one of the most scariest and deadliest of them...

The only thing I have a question about is the eyes, the three in the top left corner, are they variations or maybe I can pick between the three of them or something? That just comfuses me a little :p

Re : his eyes can vary between the three depending on his mood. A Nightmare with a Forgotten can travel between dimensions better. The Forgotten do still help there Nightmare but there only hadow what they used to be. The Forgotten lose their ability to communicate to there pod other Fairfin's #Fairfin. (Fairfin are kind of like living telephones and help dreamers talk to one another long-distance so they have some psychic powers) but a tainted Fairfin can still hear the whisper of there Nightmare.

There is one dreamer who has a tainted Fairfin hers was kill by a Nightmare, when She sacrificed herself to save her Dreamer. The same Nightmare Fairfin escaped but was very sick, and the Dreamer finding him took him home... their wounds were treated but they never fully recovered from that tragic day. They now hunt Nightmare and are looking for the Nightmare who took so much from them... more of there lore will come soon...
