Welp. It's the anniversary of the beginning of Homestuck.
And it's also the end.
Yep, Homestuck's over. And, we answered the age old question of "Is Homestuck an anime?"
Yes, yes it is.
I wasn't ready for the end. Hell, I watched the final act and I'm STILL not ready.
But what's done is done.
Homestuck, as pretentious as this sounds, actually did shape me as a person. Yes, I was an obnoxiously godawful Homestucker. I admit it. But when I thought of it, I noticed that a lot of the first friends I made here on Colors were because of this batshit comic. It was nice to know that other people were as invested in it as I was, and even though it's over, and I'm not as obsessed with it as I once was, I'm glad that these friendships are still here now. I can think of at least four friends off the top of my head that I met because of HS.
Up in the drawing above are some old fantrolls I remade. Recognize them? Yeah, that's Karane, Jessia, Teradi, and Nirune. They used to be so different, but look at them now. I learned from my bad fantroll skills and now they're all fleshed out!
So thanks, Hussie. Thanks for making me scream about buckets and Betty Crocker for around a year or two, thanks for letting me read about these weird gray aliens and their escapades with equally weird weird humans. And with that, seven years of Homestuck come to a close.
It's time to go into the Eternapause.
