backstory: d.a. was born as a shadow pokemon after a mad scientist infected their egg with the shadows ( #xavioushooh recieved this same treatment.) this mad scientist never revieled his name to d.a., so he remained anonymous for as long as d.a. stayed in his lab.
d.a. went through tons of experiments. one of them involved having a part of their tail cut of, which ended up being one of the thorns at the end of the tail, to see how much power they had compared to a regular lugia (xavious recieved the same treatment except it was on their left leg.)
d.a. ended up misbehaving more than xavious, so it had to be chained up.
one day, d.a. was filled with so much insanity, they broke free from the strong chains & destroyed the mad scientist's lab (xavious did the same, not from insanity, but from being sick of being in the lab.) d.a. & xavious then both escaped, never seeing the scientist ever again.

today, d.a. only trusts pokemon (especially xavious) & not humans, trying to avoid all humans by living in forests or under the ocean at times. if a human ever approaches him, he either flies away or attacks, depending on how they act. if they're being gentle, he flies away. if they're being harsh & rough with him, he attacks.

oh, ps: d.a. (& xavious) can only learn shadow moves (even aeroblast, & sacred fire for xavious, are now shadow blast & sacred shadows)
