"Why are you doing this?" Cinos cried.

"To take over the world, create my own amusement park, you know, typical evil guy stuff." Shadow rattled off.

"But why me?" Cinos screamed in his face.

Shadow smirked. "Oh, you don't remember? I thought you would." he turned to the left to show the scar on his cheek. "You gave me this."

"You. You were..." Cinos gasped.

"And now I get to get you back." he replied.

Cinos, in a last ditch attempt to save her life, caught the hedgehog off-guard and sent surges of electricity through his body by way of grabbing his shoulder. She kicked his seizing body to the ground and flew a short distance away from him. She turned back around to see him struggling to get up.
"Ooh, I really hate your *ss right now." Shadow said under his breath.

He quickly turned to see Sliat and Selk enter the oval office from the front door. Cinos' heart did a flip as happy feelings surged within her. The two ran over to the bat's side.

Sliat tackled Cinos in a hug while Selk stared Shadow down.

"Remember me, *sshole? You created me." Selk snapped at the hedgehog.

"Oh, my dear Entropy, if you hadn't left our empire, we could have ruled together. A king and his queen." Shadow gave a disgusting smile.

"That's not my name, you creep!" Selk roared like a lion.
"What's going on?" Cinos asked Sliat, confused at Shadow and Selk's conversation.

"I'll tell you when you're older." Sliat said hastily.
Suddenly, Cinos recalled what she had just done with Core and Copper and got an idea. She grabbed Sliat and Selk's hands, transferring her energy to the both of them.

They all glowed silver for a few seconds before their charged forms were revealed. Sliat's beanie was gone, and her shirt lengthened to a cloak. Sliat was given more bands with jewels on them and she was all blue, like a sapphire.

It was Cinos' turn to smirk. "You may be powerful against me alone, but we're gonna take you down together." she spoke.

"You're all no match for me! I'll send you two away anyway." he began to make the motion of waving the hedgerabbit and amalgamation away, but found himself unable to, as Sliat punched him in the gut witth flaming hands. Selk swiftly punched him in the face multiple times, alternating her fiery hand and icy hand. She then kicked him in the head, knocking him down. Cinos charged a ball of electricity, flew up, and let all helI break loose from her hands.

"YOU'RE GOING STRAIGHT TO HEL.L!" she screamed as she struggled to keep the ball of lightning in her hands.

Then, it was over. The hedgehog laid a bloody mess on the ground. The three stood around him, frowning at the mangle that lay in front of them. Cinos forced her hand into the hedgehog's chest and ripped out the still-beating heart that once belonged to Shadow the Hedgehog.

"This doesn't belong to you." she sneered.

Then, Selk and Sliat went to town, beating and ripping apart the android to death.

And that was it.

Cinos carried the heart away, while Sliat and Selk gathered up the emeralds. The heart would be handed over to G.U.N. and the emeralds would be given to Knuckles the Echidna, their guardian.

Cinos walked with Selk and Sliat to the altar where the Chaos Emeralds would be placed. Knuckles was there, but he wasn't alone. Esele and his secretary were there as well.

"Little Miley!" the guardian's wrinkled face lit up at the sight of the bat he hadn't seen in years. "Esele's been talking nonstop about you. I remember when you two were kids and you snuck up here to get a peek of the emeralds. I'm so sorry you had to witness what you did. You were so young." he said, anguished.

Cinos smiled. "Hey, it's okay. As you can see, I turned out just fine."

Esele and Aqualia left to go back to the white house and face the press about what had taken place there. Meanwhile, Cinos, Sliat, and Selk were taking it easy, letting their legs dangle off the side of the floating island.

"Thanks for saving my skin back there you guys." Cinos said gratefully.

"No prob'." Selk replied.

"We're friends. It's what we do." Sliat said. Cinos hadn't ever considered her a friend, just an annoying neighbor. But now that everything was happening so fast, she definitely considered her one of her best.

The sunset lit up their faces in orange.
"Why did you help?" Cinos asked Selk.

"Let's just say... a certain jinouga was able to convince me." the dinosaur replied.

"Speaking of, I need to find him again. I hope he didn't go back to Draknos without a goodbye." Cinos murmured.

"What're we gonna do now that everything's over?" Sliat asked the other two. "I'm gonna find Nic. He still thinks I'm dead."

"Oh yeah. I guess I was too caught up in the moment to realize you literally came back to life." Cinos said, surprised.

"Yeah, long story. It's how I met Selk." Sliat said.

"I think I'll just starrt travelling the ocean with Edna again." Selk said, daydreaming of her girlfriend.

"I think I'll settle down here. Maybe with Elias. Maybe not." Cinos said. "But you have to promise to visit every once in a while."

"Of course!" Sliat said, shocked Cinos would say that.

"All the time." Selk rolled her eyes.

"I can't believe you of all peopl3 would get sucked into this whole mess." Sliat shook her head.

"What can I say? I'm just a hedgehog who loves an adventure." Cinos smiled.

"What?" Sliat asked, confused at why she would call herself a hedgehog.

"Nothing." Cinos winked.
