backstory: chills was born in a snowy climate & was raised by his mother, blizzard & his father, storm. one day, the family of 3 got caught in a snow storm & all got seperated. poor little chills, who was 6 months old, had to suffer in the snow, desperatly calling out to his parents for help. after a while of calling their names, he passed out from the coldness of the storm.
a couple hours later, he awoke in a cave filled with odd pixie creatures, trying to avoid the storm. these little guys were called the frie. an orange one, which found & saved him in the first place, was named unix (oo-nix). unix decided to take care of chills until it was safe to go outside again. however, unix respected & admired chills so much she decided to acompany him on his search for his parents. unix fussed herself with chills so she could be his guardian & be able to protect him whenever chills was in danger.

now, you may be asking about chills's rainbow eye color. well, that's an easy explanation.
during the fusion process unix & chills experience, chills got so filled with energy that he couldnt control himself. due to this, unix had to use her powers to fill all of chills's energy into one specific spot so it would be easier to fuse with him. after a while of thinking, she finally concluded that the eyes would be the wisest place for energy storage. & so, unix did her thing & before you know it, his eye color changed from a light green to a rainbow. the reason it is rainbow is because it is filled with tons of energy, the eyes grow alot less dull & grew into more of an expressive color. but since its so much, you cant only express the amount of energy through 1 color, so why not all of them?
oh, btw, this is also the reason his body is dull colored. not alot of natural energy is in his body, so it all just grew "bleh", y'know?

you may also wanna know why chills has unix's marking on his left paw? well, the reason is because if a frie is fused with anyone, they are also able to temporary exit the body they're fused with for about 15 minutes. in order to do this, they must create an exit while fusing with their partner. therefore, unix is able to exit chills's left paw whenever she pleases.
