I'm aware he has no wings, putting them in didn't feel right visually.

Why is it the best part?
If you watch the playback, their position on his torso was messed up, he wouldn't have been able to fly properly. But even if the wings had been higher they would have occupied an odd space in the picture.

Go to the colors website on your computer, save the image, open it up in krita, draw your desired wang.
My style isn't too hard to mimic, just look at the surrounding coloring in the area you want to draw in it, the color of the lines and the shading, study it for a moment, then copy it.

True but if you save the image on the pc you don't have to worry about the playback.
The thing is, I don't even know where to pin the tail on the donkey so to speak.
