Her name is Malam, and she is a 'Shadow Shaper'. This is a civilization of people who can manipulate darkness and shadows to their will. Shadow Shapers are known to be the evil counterparts to Sun Shapers, who do the same, but with sunlight. This is why, when Malam was born from two Sun Shaper parents, she was abandoned in an alley, and was followed by a Shadow Shaper villiage cat called Major.
