When Dispair revenge-killed his sister's murderers as Hope, his severe anger and hostility transfered to Deadclaw when he killed him. This caused him to be stuck in a limbo state, unable to heal his wounds or die from them. Dispair feels sympathy to Deadclaw, as he too has experienced Limbo, although not as harsh as he.
