Painting with sun glaring in my eyes = Hard mode: spring edition.
I suspect it might actually help with the contrast though, because you have to compensate. Painting in a dark room is the opposite.

Another winner here. Really digging your soft v hard edges. I hear you on screen glare. When I first started plein-air painting on my DS, I would experiment by hopping in and out doors when initially colour picking to get a feel of where to pick on the colour wheel. It's actually made me very lazy and I often find myself half on autopilot. It's become a tough habit to break :(

I'm jealous of the way you interpret value and composition

@Aello It'll be a long time before the water gets warm enough for swimming up here :(
@Munin Thank you, clouds especially are my favourite subject when it comes to practicing edge control, lot's of fun.
Oh yeah, but to some extent I find that the lazy habits we form become the key signatures of a personal style, but then you have to keep pushing that towards something that looks appealing of course.
@FinickyFox Nothing's stopping you from interpreting those things the way you want. If it does not come out right, just try agan. A simple but powerful formula :)
@TroyWalterGuajardo Thank you, that's humbling to hear!
