I originally wanted Micah to be the only FE:BI character I had, but then I made her from a country that didn't exist at the time (Avia started out as filler) and had to expand from there.
Now I have two canon characters, two not canon characters, two parallels (though ones not in very good shape hint hint) and Tybalt.

@Alex, how many FE:BI characters do you have? I remember Haseo and Yukki, was there any more? If not, keep them both! Having more than 2 is okay, just as long as they are acceptable and you don't make TOO many.

I think I'll just keep them both. You, my little brother and another person like Eltenir. I think Sora-kyun likes Yuuki because we are already doing Yuuki's & Zona's B support. That's pretty much the only person Yuuki has interacted with. Other than Micah, but Yuuki only has a close bond with Lord Zona.
Yuuki is the opposite of me & I adore him. So I'm just going to keep them both. I don't need my brother crying about his favorite character not being in febi anymore. =w= @Inky: my little bro loves Micah xD

@Alex, We are allowing the creation of child units (one per character) for non-rp use, cuz it's fun to create and we may include them into the story later, but right now children are too early for the story, so you could draw 2 more free characters, but I guess you'd be limited to the species and family design of their parents. Well, your characters are still great, I like 'em.

Jon, let me assure you, the children units DO NOT come into the past from the future. They are for future enjoyment to create now. I don't get butt hurt by anyone else's opinions unless they try to force their's upon mine or try to limit me from having use of my own opinions.

If you express dislike for child units but do not try to stop me or convince me from having them, I'm fine. If you try to change me, I will fight back though, or at least keep my ground or discuss compromise.

Plus, if your characters S-support others', a lot of us will be left out. Plus you gotta consider the plot, so each character needs a place, and so far, none of yours has joined in at all yet.

I'd say I'd kerp it open for consideration. We've only started recently and the characters we have need developing before we go haywire here xD

I have a ton of character ideas, but I know it'd make things confusing, hectic, and illogical to have all the characters I have in my head or doodled down. I'm not singling you out, I've had to consider this for others and myself already.

It's not that I dislike the units themselves, it's that I dislike how they are implemented into the story in both Awakening and Fates. It's overly-convenient.
So you weren't planning on putting them through wormholes, alternate dimensions, time-space continuums, or whatever else you had to do to try your very hardest to get them into the current story, right?
I'm curious, though. How will they be implemented? Separate story, similar to how F.E. 6 and 7 are related, or did you have something else in mind?

Again, that depends on the timeline in which the support takes place, and how much it matters that it be done sooner rather than later. I'm all for extra character development, but I feel it must be done in an appropriate fashion that complements the current storyline.

And yeah, I don't think we'll have abnormal dimensional occurances that bring the children to the "present", no "Astral deeprealms" or "quick growth". If ANYTHING, it'd be the current cast temporarily goes to the future, not the other way around. I actually already have a plan for it, and I've talked to Inky about it, but it's confidential (eue) xD But it won't go againat your belief on how FE works, trust me.

And I WISH I could just be free-spirited about FE:BI but somethng tells me not to. Like with everyone making a ton of characters each, idk if I should just stop worrying about it or not. I just think it could "tip the scales" of the story to being weird and unbalanced, but idk. I think I'll just SUGGEST everyone use few characters. Yeah, that's what I'll do.

@Lugia6789, I SUGGEST you keep fewer characters, but you are free to make more. I would respectfully ask you-

-that you keep a balance on how your characters are used. like, how you support/ship them, how many kids they have, use existing characters to their fullest (cuz a bunch of half-used OCs are just a bunch of half-used OCs xD A few GOOD OCs are imo better)

Also, Jon, I'm actually an open-minded person. And I'm not an "Awakening Player", I've played Rekka no Ken/Blazing Sword through and more than half of Sacred Stones (Eirika side, no grinding), so I appreciate both classic AND new styles, that's why I chose Conquest.

---I'll quickly add in I'm not upset/mad I'm just pointing out that I am an all-round Emblemier. xD

Was absent here earlier cuz I got Hidden Truths 1 and 2 DLC on Fates, it explains some backstory to what happens BEFORE fates starts and why 3 "certain characters" are present, and it gives me the Grandmaster class as a reward, so ye :b I'm gonna replay it when I get Revelation started and use it on my avatar.

To be frankly honest, I think I'm going to stop making suggestions and just roll with it. I'm going to let you guys handle the story and mechanics, and just keep out of it.
I'll have more fun playing the story than I will worrying about this and trying to change that. You don't have to be concerned about me anymore, just keep going the way that you are!

Although I do share your concern about the growing character rosters per individual.
It might create a bit of a one-sided, overly-dependent on one person kind of storyline.

@Gills/Jon: Yeaaah, I only wanted child units at first to pay homage to Bree. (Since she and Tyson were scrapped for a while) Gills and I have talked about it, but like he said, our lips are sealed.

I've admittedly only played Fates and Awakening, but I would enjoy the other games if given a chance to play them. (Yes I know they're on virtual console, I have my reasons for not buying them yet)

It's fine, Jon. You weren't offensive. You were cautious, but you wanted to see that this was going in a way that respected older and newer formulas.

As I am a fan of both, I try to include both. Heck, in Valon, we have a Druid. When do you see druids anymore??

But I like the way I'm designing Zaffre. It's taken my awhile to design him just right. I've sketched with very different looks, ones that looked more unique from Indigo, but they didn't fir how I wanted him to be as a character. (however, one of the sketches actually helped to create a better version of my "2nd unit")

I thought you might think that. The term "Assault" is one that is common in the Fire Emblem universe. Best not overuse it.

From Awakening's cast, I fit Chrom the most, and a lot of my pre-FEBI FE friends; known as the Neo Shepherds, agreed.

However, I love the character Owain. I can portray him pretty well, it takes me a minute to write, but definitely not 10 minutes.

So, what to chat about? I've had a mainly uneventful day, but it was busy with spending time with Blackbeans talking about music, practicing the drums for the second time and finding out I have a good knack for it, going yardwork, miiverse, etc.

All I did was watch Dragon Ball Z, eat bacon, watch a baby and talk to Witzke about Misoku stuff. Oh yeah, I also drew up a new character for an idea that I've had.

Jon, Well, I kinda wanted a strong resemblence, but it seemed you thought it was too close. I just wanted to ask if you thought Eliwood to Roy was too much too, cuz those are classic FE, and Roy barely takes off from his mother, even Eliwood looks 80'/. like his father.

I'm sticking with my design for the most part, but I think his eye color will match his mom's or /blend/ between his parents'.

@Ace, Erm, I thought Jack-of-all-trades meant you were good at a lot of things, not just one. Like a musician being good at vocals, lead guitar, bass, and drums, not just one of them.

I think they did him that way so that gamers could have the freedom to think of his mother as the person that they shipped Eliwood with, instead of having a pre-determined pairing. If there was a pre-determined pairing, then certain players may be upset because they wanted Eliwood to marry someone else. Same with Lilina.

Perhaps I'm being too strict with F.E.'s child logic, but that's just the way I'd do it. It'd make for one heck of a sequel, but would be very interesting to see how the looks, gender, and personality of a child would change depending on the parents and the environment that they were raised in. Not to mention one particular matchup, depending on personal preferences and compatibility of both shipees, might have more offspring than another.

Again, perhaps I'm being overly-critical and extra-complicated, but that's how I view child unit logistics.

I'm designing Zaffre the same way, cuz Indigo HAS been non-canonly shipped before, and there are multiple supports he can do, so that's why I'm not gonna worry myself over his son's appearance. I just wanted to let you know how I worked this out.

Also, Roy was designed before FE7 ever came out, and they obviously didn't think very far ahead to match FE6 to FE7 cuz Lyn was never mentioned at all in FE6. So the Eliwood support thing is kinda debateable.

Plus, Ninian is obviously his canon pairing, and the devs didn't make her look like Roy, to at least try to make sense of it. If Ninian looked more like Roy's mom, yeah, I'd completely agree with you.

But FlorinaXHector kinda makes sense for Lilina, as far as I've seen.

To sum it up, let's just say that I don't fully agree with the child system in Fire Emblem.
If your goal is to stay true to the Fire Emblem theme, keep doing what you're doing and ignore me. I'm just being extremely analytical and overly-critical about the matter.

I've heard people ship Lyn with Hector. But I must admit, Lilina's mother being one of the Pegasi Sisters would make the most sense.
I personally think the relationship was intentional, and that they put Lyn in there just to make it more fresh. But hey, that's just a theory; A Jon Brand Theory! Thanks for reading.
References aside, it's just my opinion on the matter. You need not change your actions based on it.

Personally, I'd make a whole list of possible looks, characteristics, and personalities for a character based on their possible parents. But that's because I like it that way. I enjoy coming up with complex alternate realities and "what-if" scenarios that prompt large change. That's just what I like to do, for both stories and characters. It helps put things into a hypothetical perspective that explains why things are one way and aren't another.

I paired Lyn with Hector cuz they were so friggen good, Hector would take the brute and Lyn would take the speed, and I liked them. Florina was dropped for Fiora so that support never happened.

I'm ninteen, and no, I've never played Fates yet. I've only watched my other brother play through Conquest, and watchhed pieces of Witzke go through...uh, Birthright. That's the one. I hardly even remember the name now. That ain't good.

I've only played Conquest so far. I'm Ch24 Conquest and Ch3 for my Rev' run.

Also, I'm playing Conquest on Classic/Normal, with my own rules I call"Emblemlocke", (basically no resetting, ever. No buying skills, using other avatars in chapters, etc.)

For Rev, I'm playing Classic/Hard, but allowing grinding, resetting, and keeping all units. Buying skills, etc. (Hard mode is pretty fun, Ch2 was actually way more fun to replay than playing on Normal)

Effie is the spiritual daughter of Gilliam (because of her epic general-ness), and Arthur's face is hard to look at.
I like cavaliers, so naturally, I'd take a liking to Silas.

Why haven't you played Fates? It's pretty good, an improvement on Awakening, it delves back into the classic mechanics. I wish CON was back though.

Conquest (from what critics say) has a better gameplay but worse story plot than Birthright. Revelation is considered the best.

I don't think I'm skilled enough for hard. One time, I lost every single unit that didn't give you a "Game Over" upon death in a level. I can't remeber if I was on hard or normal. Either way, I need practice. Desperately.

I think I should finish my other Fire Emblem adventures before I start yet another. I have a bad habit of starting a game, losing interest, then moving on to some other game.

Revelation is $20 after you buy Conq/Birth. So yeah.

Rev has all characters from both games recruitable. It's considered the canon story/ending too. They recommend playing it last but that also means big N gets $80 out of everyone so nah, I'll just skip Birthright xD

Yeah, Idk how it is in Birthright, but Conquest's was hard. I won it in one playthrough but lost Silas cuz he got tossed away and into like 5 enemies.

I literally only play each chapter once. The only ones I've had to restart was one where I only had 15 turns to win, which I timed out, and one where Indigo croaked. All others were won perfectly or with a lost of a unit (total loses: 3, Niles, Silas, Camilla)

Jon, Thanks, I'll see how Hard Mode comes out, and then maybe try Lunatic/Casual. Phoenix mode sounds cheap, even in Lunatic.

In Conquest, the tenth chapter is notorious for being a hard chapter. It's where you must defend the north pathway for like, 12 turns or something, and no enemy must pass it lest you lose.

On top of that, there are 5 village houses that are spread over the map, so it's hugely tempting to get them, but difficult cuz enemies swarm in so easily, you can't get very far without getting danger of dying or being infiltrated. Many say it's one of the hardest chapter for the first half of the game, and restarting is common.

Somehow, I managed to defend the path, and keep all of my units alive the whole time, AND I managed to get all the village rewards (which were awesome like 1Ok gold), and I only played it once. xD

I know it's bragging, but it's my personal accomplishment.

Somehow, I don't think we're talking about the same level anymore. I'll have to ask him which was which. Or I could ask you, now that I think about it.

Hey guys, specifically the Lords, I wish to ask for your input on Amby's request. She has so far 3 FEBI characters, Amber, and two others that are a team-duo for the Dragon Gate, Vivian and Yukari. However, neither of these characters can smoothly or realistically join in at this point in the story... She wishes to make a 4th character, a freelance unit that can join in now. She made it on her @Character account, as a non-canon. But she would like to make it official, but considering our units-per-user limit, 4 is a stretch for 1st-gen, but she is a lord and founder, and friend. May she have 4 characters?

I have a case that needs adressing. The Unit limit rule needs to be set in stone.

The bill is (I'm making it official sounding xD): Each user is allowed two Story/RP Units, and each of those units are allowed one non-canon, (currently)non-RP Child Unit.

Special clauses allow leading members such as the writers and founders may be allowed more than the limit for plot purposes.

As suggested by @Allure, this rule should be strictly placed to avoid unfair confusion, however it could be possible to allow those deemed as loyal members with proven logical sense to be privledged with perks like having another Unit.

Suggestions, comments, and input appreciated.

Also, Jon, I consider you a possible advisotory member, so if you wish, please give any input if you have it.

And whatever we agree on here I will make a continued CoC post regarding character creation and use, so this can be explained to newcomers easier.

Okay, the SECOND bill is of some classes we prohibitted before.

We excluded the use of Lodestar, obviously, cuz it's specific to Marth, and any use of Lord classes, except by use of a lord.

And then enemy-only classes, King, Dragon, Entombed, etc. has been write-out.

But now we come to DLC/Ally Specials, such as Tactician, Ballistian, Witch, Dread Fighter, Dark Falcon... These I wish to address, because I believe some of these can be used under some conditions.

My opinions:

Tactician, I think this class should be given by the lord of the kingdom the unit resides in. In other words, approved by the leader of the kingdom a user makes a character aligned to. For example, Acen may give this class to a member of Xalys (like Kiklolaxer?), if he approves of the user having it. The lord is responsible for not giving out too many, but keeping it a special treatment.

I believe Dark Falcon should be available since its rely not thy over powered.It's just a Black Pegasus.

Next, Ballistian: hm... This seems a bit clunky for the RP story arc, and I doubt anybody would USE this class in the first place. I think the original MAP ITEM of a ballitae could be inacted in SOME chapters, for any archer to use.

Witch: Er... I think this may be write-out cuz I sense A) trouble with this one and B) possible witch overtaking in FE:BI (idk why)

So, effectively, Dark Falcon is a Dark Flier, right?

Dark Falcon, this one just became a DLC exclusive, but it really isn't OP or anything, and Galeforce won't do anything in RP so I think it should be free, like Ace said.

I agree with your stances on the classes. I especially like the idea of being able to earn a special rank through the lord character. it's like rising through the ranks in the army!

Ace, Witch could be a seal we gain later, yeah, or an enemy exclusive, too. Dread Fighter as an enemy-ex sounds like a good idea, too! I like it.

Jon, Ballistian is a new DLC class in Fates, the unit always has a ballista but I think has poor MOV. It's released along with the Witch class in Fates (and I know, witch was an old class) But I like Ballistas in FE7 being map perks.

So we can bounce ideas around before making this a bill.

Jon, yeah, the dark mage design. Meh, I'm more worried of the Camillas we could get from newcoming Witches. Dark Mages are usually bare but kinda flat usually. Excuse my informalality but I'm just trying to get my concerns across.

But as an enemy shooting at the heroes, or an abandoned one to use from a dead enemy, that works imo.

Ace, I think the ones we've named are the only specials we have. I think each kingdom could give any of the two, of their choice.

Tactician: Given permission by ruling lord.
Dark Falcon: Free (especially in Avia, Atrus)

Lugia, I said "citation needed", because we need to work that out. As a species, all free. As a class, they must be used responsibly. So far you've been doing okay, as long as you don't go making Mortem turning into a huge army-crushing dragon, you'll be fine.

By "army-crushing" I mean like, OP, in rp saying "mortem blazed fire and destroyed half the opposing army" etc. cuz that's kinda buzzkill. So far you've been pretty respectful so I'll vouch for allowing you to have use of the manakete class

Lugia I wish I did. This is why I made #FEBICast #ValonCast, because I wanted to list all of the units and users in FEBI, but I couldn't fit all of them in one Desc, so Ace will have to make Xalys', Inky Avia's, Amby Palamlia's, and Sorakh Atrus'.

GameOver, Ch10 Conquest is considered like, the first "hard chapter", because you'll see xD

But apparently, as much as everyone said how hard it was, I completed in in one try, no resets, no units dying, and I collected all 5 "village chests" within the turn-limit :b and I also didn't hear about it's infamous difficulty until AFTER I played it, so I was never given hints or anything.

I think Baron should be enemy only, then, because that's just too OP even as a promo reward, actually, ESPECIALLY as a promo reward, because then it makes our promos look bad. Plus, I thought we'd each be able to give any of the promos, so nobody's kingdom is swayed more or less popular because of it. I'm trying to promote all of our kingdoms, and there have been a few times I've highly suggested you guys over my own. I know once worked.

Jon, Um... The lords' Activity, the lord advertising, asking others to join, etc? Seriously, I talked to @airwave and gave her like all of the info needed to join FEBI, and she chose Palmalia as a birthplace but my kingdom as residence. I didn't imply, ask, or suggest her to choose Valon at all, but I notice many times when you help others, they incline to join your team. This happened many times with #Aquateam #Magmateam too.

And I actually asked a friend about joining, and s/he (anonymous because I'm not wanting credit here) was about to join Valon, then I suggested s/he joined another because of my popularity, and s/he did join another.

Ace needs to talk to others to join his kingdom. So does Inky. Palmalia is instantly popular because Amby (quite smartly) monopolized the majority of shapeshifters. Inky, although similar, chose one of the hardest to draw classes.

Valon is growing more than Xalys purely on popularity, activity, and recruitment methods.

And I've recruited others to NIT join Valon, usually to Palmalia because shapeshifter, or whatever.

Technically, Atrus just started. You can't officially recruit anybody to a kingdom yet to even be officially publushed. Sora just released a somewhat finished ref of Zona the ither day, and an Atrus info post just yesterday. So Atrus literally just started.

@Gills I wouldn't describe Palmalia as "insanely popular". We're litterally only 3 people.(Including me.) We just have a lot of characters. Also people like choosing it as their home country. Not main.
It's still popular in it's own way tho. Just not like Valon hahah.

Well, Awakening gave dancers swords, and since a bard is the equivalent to a male dancer in Fire Emblem logic, you could probably give him a sword as a weapon. You might wanna talk to Gills to verify that, though.

Okay, I think the parallels should come a bit later. We are only 3 chapters in at this point, so that's kinda early imo.

HOWEVER, it could give a deeper connection as to the influence of the parallels already having been infiltrating a little since the start.

It could work, but the bad guys need to not be obviously known as parallels or "shadows/monsters", because that derails the priority of Gelvak being the antagonist.

Basically, the bad guys should be paras, but not shown to be. Maybe they are hooded and dont talk, giving suspicion, but they dont outright seem like a priority threat, just a one-time occurance, but they aren't.

So, essentially what Fates did for the "Invaders"? (I'm trying to avoid spoiling anything for fates) That works for me. I think it's good to introduce them now, that way when we get to the Parallel Arc, it won't just throw out the idea all at once.

Essentially, yep. It would give that dynamic of them being present early so it doesn't throw anything off, but it doesn't make them appear more dangerous than Gelvak, currently.

Also, should they have Valonian marks on them? So they are identifiable to others, later? As the "bandits with the Valon mark"

I was thinking that Argon and Devina land at a different village, but the Royals run into them since it's near to the one that was under siege.

Reinforcements will arrive in the form of a squad that Tybalt sends back to search for Devina, and then the battle begins!

Well, we've arrived at next weekend and still no progress has been made as far as getting the next chapter up.
