In judaism, which this in my drawing is my interpretation of, they are the 5th highest rank of angel, and they burn in constant self-nullifacation to acsend to god.
In the prophecy movies they hunt and kill nephilim (the offspring of angels who have laid with a human woman, A BIG nope in gods eyes.)

i just read that in traditional hebrew and christian iconography my depiction would more than likely be considered a cherubim than a seraphim.... fu.cking x-files got their iconography twisted. ugh. still thats where i got the inspiration for this painting.

yeah i have always been facinated with all religous beliefs and folk lore and fairy tales. it partially why it took me so long to find faith in jesus. lol it still seems weird even typing it... i have a friend that has dedicated his life to spirtuality ranging from jewish magic to crowley type ritual magik. he is a cool kid. (he is in his late 20's now)
