Not that she was jealous, she just didn't want to hear from either of them what she was doing wrong and Copper did right.
"Hello." Cinos quickly brushed Copper off and disappeared into the house to attempt to find Core.

The house was basically a mansion. It was huge, though perhaps it wasn't that big, just fancy. She wondered how Core kept it up.
She didn't have to wonder for long as she found Core dusting with a black hedgehog that looked extremely similar to Shadow. His stripes were neater, and he didn't have any damage.

In fact, there were multiple of these Shadow-like mobians.

"Cinos! You're awake!" Core beamed. She stopped dusting the knicknacks atop her fireplace and hopped off her stool. She ran to Cinos and they ended up spinning from the force of the push. The bat pulled away from the tenrec. "Hey, um, I was wondering if you wanted to go to the local diner with me?" Core asked.

"Sure." Cinos agreed. She did not agree, however, to Copper coming along.

The diner was called "Sonic". It was apparently named for the legendary hero, Sonic the Hedgehog. He seemed to get around, Cinos noticed.

They each had chili dogs, shakes, and french fries. All Copper and Core could do was flirt which annoyed Cinos to no end. She would much rather actually catch up with her friend instead of watching the two reenact Disney's Lady and the Tramp with french fries.
"So, Cinos, you ever hear back from Esele Honder?" Core asked. Finally! A question! How long did that take? Fifteen minutes.

"No, honestly I couldn't give a single d*mn what he's doing now." Cinos sipped her vanila shake. She used to be best friends/neighbors with Esele Honder, but they drifted apart after they had snuck out to Angel Island. She stayed in the Mystic Ruins, and he went to Central City where he met Core. He in fact, introduced her to Core. Now,he was the president.

"Well, I was thinking... President Honder has asked me to see him privately for-" Core gave Cinos a sly look.

"classified reasons. Anyway, I want you to come with." Core finished, twirling her straw.

"Alright. Let's see what Sell-out's doing now." Cinos sighed. 'Sell-out' was what everyone called Esele since he was doing some underhanded things while running the United Federation.

Thankfully, Copper stayed behind in Soleanna to handle matters with some princess. Personally, Cinos didn't care. The bat and tenrec took a plane to the United Federation.

Once there they set their bags in their motel room and headed for the White House.

The walls were lined with pictures of the presidents of the past shaking hands with a blue hedgehog.

"Who is that guy?" Cinos pointed to the hedgehog. He seemed familiar. The scenes themselves seemed familiar. Almost like it was her shaking the president's hands.

Core gasped, clearly taken aback. "Cinos! Seriously! That's Sonic the Hedgehog! The greatest hero of all time!"
"What? I thought he was just a legend! He's real?" Cinos was shocked as well.

Core rolled her eyes and whispered to a security guard rabbit, "I don't know her." jokingly.

They entered the oval office with Core in front of Cinos. There was a desk a few feet in front of them and a leather chair with its back turned. Bat wings hung from both sides of it.

"Are you alone?" a smooth, suave voice asked from behind the chair.

"No sir. I am with my bodyguard." Core fidgeted, trying to think of an excuse for Cinos to be with her.

"Do you have the emeralds?" the man asked, still masking himself.

"Yes." Core said, pulling them out of her boots. There was a yellow, cyan, and most surprisingly, the red one.

"Where did you get that?" Cinos whispered to Core.

"Elias gave it to me and told me to get as far away as possible." Core replied. Cinos grimaced. She had a bad feeling about this.

"Good." Finally, the bat spun his chair around, and Cinos was finally able to see her old friend again. He was nothing she expected him to be.

She expecting him to be more in touch with human culture than his own, but he kept the spikes and gloves. He had certainly matured well.

"Thank you much, Core. They'll be safe under our protection." Esele stated.
A pink fox girl with aqua hair (whom Cinos asssumed was his secretary) came to pick up the three emeralds. Esele dismissed Core, the secretary, and Core's bodyguard, however, Cinos stayed firmly put.

"Wait. You haven't seen me in-" Cinos counted on her fingers. "half a decade and you're just going to ignore me?" she asked, enraged.

"Sorry, Miss... Sinatra, was it? You just don't have an appointment to meet with me. I'm free in 5066." Esele said monotonously.

Cinos fumed. "Miley Cisneros! You know my name!" she gasped out. Cinos looked away and shook her head, dumbfounded. "I don't even understand what you'd have against me." she looked back at him and stepped closer to him. "We used to be friends!"

Esele stood up slowly, yet intimidatingly.

He slammed his palms down on the desk. Cinos stepped back.

"Miss Cisneros. I calmly ask that you vacate the premises." he said as if he was angry, but didn't wish to show it.

"No. Not until you tell me why you left me!" Cinos screeched, standing back up to him.

Esele snarled. "I left you?" he asked rhetorically. He grew even angrier. "YOU ABANDONED ME!" he yelled.
Cinos' cheeks soon became streaked with tears. She shook her head. "No, no! You're wrong! You disappeared when I needed you most! You left me with all of that trauma! And what do I get from you? A Christmas card. For one year. Not to mention the girl you set me up with to get her out of your hair." Cinos said between sobs.

Esele sat back down defeatedly. "No, Miley. You left me. I sent letters, I came over... but you were always hanging out with these other guys. I remember one named Shadow. Didn't you blow me off to take one of your guy friends to a dance? Don't think I have the memory of a goldfish." Esele sighed.

Cinos tried to stammer out a response and finally got out, "That's not true! That was three years ago!"

"Miss Cisneros, I've already asked you to leave. Aqualia, please escort Miley out of the building." Esele said.

"Yes sir." the secretary nodded.

Suddenly, Cinos felt light. Electricity flowed through her and she had no control of it. It simply, happened. Her eyes glowed blue again and her hands sparked repeatedly.

"Mr. President, step back." Aqualia commandee her higher up.

"Let's see what happens." Esele replied as Cinos started generating more electricity in her hands.

"Sir I implore you to step back!" the secretary dropped the emeralds and ran towards Cinos, tackling her with water flowing around her hands. Soon they engaged in hand to hand combat. They were evenly matched as the two elementals fought electric with water, and water with electricty.

Esele stepped onto the desk and onto the floor. "Please, I've had enough." he said, his hands out to his sides.

Soon a black hedgehog with a scar on his neck stepped into the office. It was Shadow, and he had the emeralds. He had four, actually. He now had a purple one.

"Aww, did I miss a cat fight?" he asked Esele smugly. Esele smirked.

Aqualia stepped back from everyone and backed into a corner. Cinos did the same.
"What the h*ll is going on?" Cinos shrieked.

"I knew it." Aqualia sighed.
"What?" Cinos asked. "You knew about this? How could anyone know?"

"I trusted you, Esele. I never wanted to believe you'd stoop this low. Why?" Aqualia appeared heartbroken.

"To take over the world obviously. How do you control the masses? Fear. And what's more scary than the threat of a super-powered laser that can destroy half of the moon?" Esele laughed as if Aqualia's question was the funniest thing in the world. Shadow joined in.

"No! The ARK Cannon? You must be joking!" Aqualia blurted out.

"Sorry, but no. I'm not." he smirked.

Cinos fired her electricity up again and charged towards Shadow.

The hedgehog, however, teleported away and appeared again sitting on Esele's desk with a cheeky grin.

However he left one Chaos Emerald on the floor. Cinos made a mad dash for the red emerald. She looked back and saw that Esele had pulled out a gun as he was looking at Shadow. Cinos knew what was about to happen since the gun was pointed at her. His power was telepathy, and he used it to see people he wasn't looking at.

A gunshot, a burst of electricity, and a scream.

***Now is probably a good time to explain that like SADX, there will be multiple stories since the Esele plotline isn't really explained here in Cinos' story.***
