**I AM IN FACT, NOT DEAD
Well, there they were, back in Green Hill Village where the Chaos Emerald that Sliat hid awaited them.
Cinos and Elias stayed at the ferret's house while Nic went to grab it. Cinos and the boy -whom she quickly decided would be her boyfriend over the six days they had traveled together- were from totally different worlds. They didn't have technology here aside from what was imported by tourists onto South Island, much less internet and a thing she called "bars". #SA3

Of course, Elias had been to the mainland probably a thousand times. He knew just as much as her about it. However, this was where he grew up and never left for fourteen years of his life, so he wasn't about to have a panic attack like his beloved Cinos in the corner.
"Dear, I made some eggs and turkey bacon!" he called from his kitchen. They did have stoves and refridgerators, at least. "Well, I mean, it kinda... sucks, but I think it's edible!" he said looking down at the splat of yolk all over the whites of the egg where he flipped it too high. The bacon was fine.
Cinos trudged into the kitchen and sat down at the table limply. Elias set the table and the two began dining. The eggs were indeed, edible.
"Elias, does everyone have special powers?" Cinos asked, thinking of her friends who had pyrokinesis, super speed, among other abilities.
"Yes, but usually it only comes out during a real event of danger. So says my mom." Elias said, stuffing a piece of turkey bacon in his mouth.

"She also says city-folk like you rarely get their powers. Say, why do you ask?" Elias actually slowed down for once in deep thought.
"I think I have electric powers. I think I always have." Cinos blurted out. She examined her hand.
"Oh, so that's why you dress like that." Elias mumbled to himself.
"Well, yeah. Ever since that day I first used my powers, I had a fascination with them... but..."
"But?"
"It was only once. I was just a kid. I nearly killed someone, but, they had just attacked someone so..." Cinos shrugged. "I don't know... I don't know." she said, stabbing her egg with her fork.
"Wellie, well, well then." Elias chuckled. "Quite a predicament."
Cinos nodded. "Yeah. They appeared a week ago, too. I'd rather not-"
"Talk about it? It's cool. Whenever you're ready." Elias finished for her.
Later that evening Nic came back with the green Chaos Emerald. It apparently was hidden behind a waterfall, in a crevice.

He ended up learning that that was her favorite place to go when she was alone.
So, the hedgewolf joined the couple for dinner. They decided they'd travel to Central City to lock up the emerald tomorrow.
After dinner they played Scrabble. Elias won, Cinos came in second, and Nic flipped the game off the table. And, flipped the game off.
Then, it was time for bed. There were two beds, a guest bed and Elias' bed. There was no couch as it was just a kitchen, a bathroom, and two bedrooms. So, Cinos slept in the guest bedroom, Nic slept in Elias' bedroom, and Elias slept on the table.
None of them could get much rest though, because the house was set on fire.
The whole village was on fire.
Nic was the first awake. He ran to Cinos' room and ripped the sheets off her, barking at her to get up. She did once he picked her lazy-*ss up and carried her out of the room that was getting ready to collapse on itself, being made of bamboo and straw.

Elias was up and running to get them(though not before grabbing the precious emerald), but once he saw they were okay, he led them out of the house.
It was awful. The dark purple night sky was lit up with orange flames, there was a crackling of fire in the air no matter where you stood, and anywhere there was something to burn, huge flames and smoke covered it.
Elias was a nervous wreck, trying to help the citizens of the village into canoes and safety boats which would be pilotted with someone headed to Christmas Island. The ferret had never had something like this happen, but it seemed that this village, the strongest protected of the zones, would go down just like Marble, Spring Yard, and Scrapbrain before it.
Nic was helping put out the fire, and Cinos was in charge of finding the arsonists. The bat had a hard time finding them, until she remembered where the Chaos Emerald used to be.
She stormed into the waterfall cavern with a p!ssed off look on her face.

She rubbed her hands together instinctively and they soon sparked with electrical energy. Her eyes glowed light blue.
"Turn around, hedgehog!" she growled in a voice not enturely her own, but rippling with jolts of electricity.
Her fingers twitched as the black and red hedgehog turned around. It was the same one from her childhood. He still had the singe mark on his cheek, and a scar on his neck and he wasn't very happy to see her again.
"You." he pointed to her stiffly. "I've been looking for you." he snarled, curling his upper lip.
"Who are you? Why did you set fire to this village?" Cinos screamed, her fury and ire taking up her whole being.
The hedgehog floated upwards, his body slightly glowing green. "I am Shadow the Hedgehog! And I, am the ultimate life form! I am the most powerful being, and I will ensure that I am the only one!" then he was gone. He had teleported in a flashy show of green lights.

Cinos bellowed out her rage and held up her hands, electrocuting everything around her, just in case the hedgehog was around.
He was. And he had knocked her out.
...
......
.........
She awoke in a boat. A canoe.
The red bat rose up and felt her head. There was a knot where the hedgehog roundhouse kicked her. She remembered everything, but... she had given up. She couldn't go back now. All she wanted to do was go home, away from all the crazyness, and back to being the citizens of Central City's friendly neighborhood Cinos.
She wasn't alone on the boat, she quickly noticed, as the oarsman, or rather, oarswoman, spoke up.
"I bet you don't remember this voice." It was her ex-girlfriend. Core the Tenrec. "I know you probably tried to forget about me."
Cinos shook her head somberly. "No," was all that could escape her mouth.
"Hey, Miley. It's been awhile. We've got some time before we get to Soleanna if you wanna catch up."
Soleanna. That would be nice.
