Velupents are warm-blooded mammals. They eat rabbits, mice, and other small animals.
Their life span can be about 15-20 years. When they're scared or angry, they fluff up their fur to make them look bigger. Most of the time they are quiet, but they can also hiss, growl or sometimes bark. They are also colourblind, like dogs.

Some people keep them as pets. They are very intelligent and learn quickly. They are loyal to their owners, much like a dog, and enjoy lots of attention.

Oh yeah, one more thing. Their smell is their strongest sense, and their hearing is not very good. They tend to be more shy/agressive in the wild.

Does it's name derive from any words? :3 Well, serpent for part of it, obviously XD Latin for fox is vulpes, so I began to wonder if there was any intentional connection between this species' name and anything else x)
