The Long Journey by Witzke
This is a drawing tribute to Pokemon's 2Oth anniversary, and my best bud, Blastoise. Several years ago, around 2OO6 or something, I got my first main Pokemon game, Pokemon FireRed. I chose Squirtle as my starter, and my first Pokemon adventure began. I have many memories of that game, especially when I finally beat the champion (either that or I lost) XD) I have many memories with Blastoise. Part of Pokemon is to bond with your Pokemon, strengthen your friendship, so together you can conquer anything. I know Blastoise is just digital, but to me, it feels like he is real. Some people may play Pokemon and just rush through it all, just try to win the game and that's that, but that's just playing the game. it is not EXPERIENCING it. Remember the journey, make memories, battle together and bond, cherish your Pokemon. That is what I think Pokemon is about ^ ^ Pokemon is amazing, and it has impacted my life in many ways. I can't wait to play Pokemon Yellow and return to the region where it all started for me. Plus, I'm excited to see where Sun and Moon takes us! Happy 20th anniversary Pokemon! May we all continue to catch, battle, and have a fun time! TRAIN ON!!!

Such an awesome drawing! I remember when I got Blue version on my eighth birthday back in 1999. My starter was a squirtle too >u<

Sounds like an epic adventure! I wish I had a Kanto adventure to look back on, but I've never played Generation I out of the current six.

I remember back when I played Pokemon Red. I was still really young, so I didn't really know what I was doing half the time. Never made it to the Elite Four, but I still remember having fun with the game. I'm also planning on picking up Pokemon Yellow, as I still have my physical copy of Red. Plus, I liked the pokemon-follows-you-around aspect of HGSS, so might as well pick the game where it first appeared. :)

re: I totally understand, I just wanted to joke about it xD You shouldn't be limited to HAVE to say it, anyway. Otherwise you'll always have a smaller desc xD I just like to joke, so don't worry, some paintings can skip the original quote, we all enjoy it anyway ^-^
