Alright I guess. Nothing big has happened. I'm still with my guy and things are well. Probably getting a car maybe next month at the earliest. I need one so bad... I feel like I've grown up so much since I first came here
I know. xc I recently reflected on how much this place has changed over the years as well as myself. I honestly felt kind of lonely, and this realization hit me when I found out that Icey was longer officially active on Colors!. But, in terms of real life, I feel as though I'm starting to revert to my own self.
Icey's gone? What happened? Seems I found other places at the right time. If you want more regular chatting I'm way more active on Skype and Facebook. One day us three cetacean sistahs can reunite on Instagram. As for my art, it feels lacking. Like, I feel like I'm much more unimaginative now
And speaking of long times, it's been such a long time since my guy and I met and became a couple. This fall it'll be 4 years since meeting and 3 since us being a couple. Makes me wonder where the time goes
Having been here since the near beginning (mid-late 2012), I think I can say twenty-thirteen was Colors!'s peak of activity. I met so many amazing artists/friends such as Quad, RedScribbles, Icey, and, of course, Mono. c:> Apparently, while many other users would speak of things like art theft and occasional cyberbullying more often during that primal year, us unique, dorky animal artists were sheltered and tightly-knit as an online family, and I'm grateful to have had such an amazing experience. ^-^
I feel like I came on during the tail end of Colors peak time. It was a nice time. 2012 was when I finished high school and was moving on to college. The end of that year when I met my love. So much has changed since then. I feel like my best days are behind me. And I also wonder if my love and I will make it to marriage. We overcame that serious spot of trouble so I wonder if we can make it through whatever else life throws at us
Partially, it was because she couldn't stand the constant difficulties someone was giving her (understandably), along with how much less lively Colors! has become. That's what I've learned, anyway.
It makes you realize that everyone's growing up. Colors! was intended for those of 13 years of age and older, and given that the majority of those who use the site are teens, they start undertaking real-world responsibilities or become disinterested in this small art community as time wears on.
And Whaley, when I think of the past during my peak year of '13 through '14 I want to go back. This year so far isn't as dark as last year but it certainly isn't the best. I miss the newness of everything-life with a new boyfriend, my independence, school, not worrying or wondering what tomorrow holds. Now, it's just work, days off with my love, work again. Guess that's what it's like to be an adult
I was nineteen, almost twenty when I came here. Interested in Colors 3D because I have a history in hobby art. Now I'm almost 22... I'm getting really old
I certainly know what that's like. Wishing you could relive your best memories, especially when you were opening up to all sorts of new stimuli as a teen. But some things change for the best. If you keep dwelling on the past, what time have you to make something grand of your future? You are still quite young and have a ways to go. Consider more long-term goals, a great many so that while some will shatter, others will be accomplished, increasing your overall self-esteem.
And no, I've not yet installed Skype. xc My family (my dad in particular, as you may know of his terminal condition) has had little money as of late, losing most of it to medical bills and such. I have a kid's Kindle account, and it restricts nearly EVERYTHING (by that I refer to all means of accessing the Internet through it) and it cannot be fixed unless my dad has an Amazon Unlimited account, which requires a sum of money currently inaffordable.
I am focusing on getting a car. So while things feel like a standstill, overall everything will be rebuilt with time. I never thought I'd have my love back but he came back to me
I know that she had posted something pertaining to this a few days ago, but I've finally found another song by coincedence that I feel pertains to Mono. If she has not yet listened to it, tell her I recommend "Forest Fires" by Lauren Aquilina. It is beautiful in an emotionally potent way, and I feel she can strongly associate with the majority of the lyrics. ^-^
