ying becomes a medic bc sci fi war stuff bc shes convinced that chrissy is killed and she hates herself bc she was unable to save her as far as she knows. she then ends up with a habit of ignoring issues and emotions until she cant handle them anymore, so her emotions and anxiety issues become invisible. she ends up having a kind of breakdown when reunited with everyone who she thought was dead?
