"Sorry, I'm not mad, I just need to talk to someone in private. I'll come look for you so we can do an activity on the deck."

"Shuffleboarding? No thanks. I'd rather jump off the boat." Cinos made a vomit sound to express her disgust at the idea. Shadow shrugged.

"Hey, that girl's coming closer, maybe you can make a friend." Shadow pointed to a busty girl with rockin' hair and major curves.

"I have friends!" Cinos complained. Truth was, she was to shy to talk to another girl.

"Make a friend that isn't me." Shadow said. Cinos put up a finger to talk. "Not an Aura Warrior, either," he interrupted.

"Hallo," the girl said. Closer up, she appeared to be blue lizard with rainbow hair, she dressed in mostly black, and her face was a little screwed up. However Cinos could not look past her hips. Shadow seemed to hold some contempt for the lizard unknown to her. "my name is Selk... Cunk!" she greeted cheerfully. She leaned over the railing seductively. Cinos blushed.

Shadow managed to fake a smile. "I'm Shadow the Black Jinouga, this is Cinos the Bat. Pleasure." he held out his hand for her to shake. In turn Cinos stuck her hand out for Selk to shake as well, getting butterflies in her stomach as she did so.
After some small talk, Shadow left. Cinos made up excuses to leave.

Eventually she ran into Shadow as the night was setting. He led her into the main cabin and introduced her to the captain, Captain Edna. She was a charcoal grey dinosaur with flaming pink hair. She had a metal arm and leg. Cinos was embarrassed and extremely shocked to see Selk there in the cabin dozing off.

"This is Captain Edna. She used to work in the mines for a man named Ivo Robotnik." Shadow explained. "She knows the ins and outs of the Spring Yard Mines."

"Oh, hello." Cinos said in an attempt to be formal.
All of a sudden, the boat rocked back and forth very hard. Edna rushed to the wheel. Selk woke up and yelled, "Sweetie!" and asked if Edna was okay.

The light bulb fell from the ceiling and Cinos started to panic.

That was all she remembered before hearing the sound of rushing water.
