well let's see, use the zoom in buttons(up arrow or x) to put in details. use multiple shades of color even though sometimes somethings appear to be a single color if you look at it well, you'll notice all the different shades ( for example, a green apple. if you use green for the apple, black for dark areas and white for highlights. it won't look as good as if you were using multiple shades of green, light green, dark green, pure green) avoid using pure black and pure white. also if it's a green apple some areas will look yellowish and others redish. hope that helps.
