...they stopped because Pearl kept seeing herself as a servant rather than a lover. She knew Topaz wanted to find love in a "real" gem so she kept questioning her worthiness. After they broke off Topaz began getting more Pearls to fill the void left by her romance with Pearl. Pearl believes Topaz hates her but Topaz is actually too afraid to confront her real feelings.

and I chose Topaz's gem placement on the top of the hand at the end of the sleeve because its like "wearing your heart on your sleeve" she is vulnerable and also cuz the top of the hand is usually the side where you'd see a wedding ring referencing the romance she and Pearl could've had.
anyway i'll probably draw more later. eve i really like them i also have a playlist for them I'll probably share later. Hope you guys like them!
