SA3: Cinos: 2 by Cinos
Cinos hesitated, was this what she wanted to do? Really? She had gotten a letter from her friend, Shadow, earlier saying that they would be traveling around the world, searching for these "Chaos Emeralds". She was still maddened by the fact that Shadow wouldn't tell her why she needed them. It simply didn't make sense to her. Nothing did at the moment. Like why she was accepting the journey.
It felt right. Well. It couldn't have been destiny. In her humble opinion, destiny didn't exist.

So maybe it was her undying loyalty to her friend and leader. Perhaps she just wanted a fun outing and challenge.
Yeah.
That was it.
Cinos knocked lightly on Shadow's hotel door. He lived in Draknos, and was supposed to be visiting Mobius for the weekend. Really, now that they'd be journeying it would be a month she assumed.
A red zinogre she'd only seen about once or twice opened the door. His body was lit up completely with bright burning flames. His manner was indifferent to her, he didn't seem to care about why she was standing there in front of him or who she was. The room behind him was messy on one side and neat and tidy on the other. Cinos made her assumptions quickly with a smirk but dropped it just as fast.
"Are you here for Shadow?" he drawled.
Cinos gathered her thoughts and stuttered. "I-I'm looking for Shadow. Is he here?"
"He's left for South Island." he casually stated.
"Oh my Chaos! I have to catch that boat!" she screamed, panicking.

The ticket was enclosed in the letter! How could she have forgotten? "I'm so sorry! I have to go!" she attempted to run off, but the zinogre grabbed her arm. Surprisingly the fire didn't burn her.
"Hold it. You're not going anywhere alone. I've heard about you. Miley, yeah? You're like, what? Sixteen? I'll accompany you." he said. "I'm Flame." he finally introduced.
Cinos scoffed and glared. She hated being called "Miley", especially by strangers.
They walked out of the room with him taking a key-card and sticking it somewhere she couldn't see.
The South Island Ferry was leaving Seaside Hill soon. Flame and Cinos reached the large crowd as soon as possible. Shadow stood upon the boat, reading a newspaper with sunglasses on, clearly waiting on her. He pushed them up onto his forehead.
"What it do, Cinos? What it do?" he smirked, putting down his newspaper and resting his elbows on the railing.
"What's happenin', Shad's?" she greeted him loudly.
This was just the beginning.
