Some of the latter part of this sounds like the kind of meta thinking you'd find in a good comic book. You know, like Blade Runner or X-Men to a lesser extent.

I'm not going to hate on this. But last I checked the human genome cannot be fused with an animal genome. Catastrophic results may occur. Organ failure,cell malfunctions etc. The idea sounds cool. But do you really want to lose your original human attributes?
