My entry for @KJumper's Water Elemental DTA!
I would fix the 3D if I had the time, but oh well. Would look better on an enlarged screen.
Also, if you're wondering why this took so long, it's because I tried at least 5 styles of shading before anything looked acceptable 'XD
All character info will be in the comments below! And hopefully, a summarized version... I could write a documentary on this guy. 'XD

The Colors! Gallery moderators will look at it as soon as possible.

Name: Varun (formerly Aaron)
Age: 16
Personality: Despite his intimidating appearance in his Beast form, Varun is rather calm and non-confrontational. He is a peace-maker and is good at solving situations, and is usually the first one to interfere with a fight. He is protective of the people whom he cares for, and is insensitive to insults unless they are directed towards his friends. He is also very knowledgable and loved reading almost as much as he loves seafood.

Backstory (attempted to summarize): Aaron was born in a cliffside village bordered by the sea. The former Water spirit passed away when he was thirteen, but he had unusual antics before then, such as the constant desire for seafood or his overwhelming passion to swim. He was often bullied because of these antics, to the point where he was shoved off a cliff. Luckily, Aaron's emotions of anger, fear, and hatred burned so deeply in that moment that they triggered his Beast form just before he hit the water, saving his life. He would have climbed back up the cliff and terrorized the bullies with his newfound ability, but he feared that his family would become terrified of him, so he took the accident as an opportunity to flee, allowing everyone to think he had drowned.

Cont... After swimming aimlessly for many days, Aaron came upon a remote island where he decided to rest, but the islanders who lived there spotted him. However, they believed he was their sea god Varun, and they bowed down and worshipped him.
Despite his honest attempts to convince them that he was not a deity, Aaron was taken to a temple meant for their god, and was treated regally. Eventually, he accepted the name Varun, and took the role of looking after the village. After getting comfortable with his new life, Aaron began to visit the village library, where he discovered a book that spoke all about the Elemental spirits and their roles, and assumed himself to be the Spirit of Water.
Astounded by the news and suddenly feeling as a responsible figure, Aaron began to train his abilities, learning control over the seas and the storms.

Cont... When not surrounded by islanders and being offered sacrafices that he wouldn't accept unless they were fish, Aaron either continued to expand his knowledge in the library or strengthened his combat abilities in a lone seaside temple, which consisted of a round, bowl-shaped pool. So far, he has spent three years on the island, and is currently 16.

Abilities: As long as a source is within his radius, Varun can control water in whatever ways he wishes. With the help of his scientific knowledge, Varun can compress or loosen the bonds between the molecules in water, adding to his capabilities. For example, he can compress water molecules so tightly together that they act as a temporary shield, or wear through solid rock with enough time and force. He can also seperate the molecules into a mist to confuse an opponent's senses or allow himself a quick getaway. Varun can only manipulate water within a certain radius, but he can send rain with no range limits.

Ability Combinations (this is not necessary, but I think it's a pretty cool concept): Varun's water abilities are unique in that they can be combined with the other Elementals' abilities to create stronger weapons.
- His rainclouds can be transformed into thunderstorms by Electricity
- His water can boost Earth's plant growth
- He can work with Wind to create a hurricane
- Ice can freeze his water to create a thick barrier or an object to help them get to places
- By separating the hydrogen atoms from the oxygen atoms in water molecules, a flammable gas is created, and if ignited by Fire, will create a massive explosion
(That's all, you may comment now!)

Putting the time in is worth it for work as wonderfully detailed as this. The base reminds me of Greek vases with their scenes. Enjoy the beauty of your paintings.
