Haha, I used to be like this too :P But, after three years of drawing on the 3ds, I'm more comfortable than ever here, and now my art on paper looks dull compared to the stuff I make here XD
Btw I love your pony chara! Her design is adorable! x3

When I draw on paper or on the computer, I kinda like my drawings there, I just use my imagination and creativity! ^^

But yeah, I notice the same thing with me. When I draw my anime, it's both a lot easier and looks way better on paper. My Pokemon characters on the other hand, probably are better here because that's where I mainly draw them.
