Wow, I really enjoy each piece you create. You should combine them to make a scifi universe for a story or game build.

Hi Papercut, I've been admiring your daily challenges for some time now, and I'm wondering; what would be your advice for someone who wants to start painting landscapes? I have some experience drawing and sketching in detail, but next to no experience with colours or landscapes. Any tips?
PS- Is there a reason you begin every painting with brown, even if the palette is going to be primarily cold colours?

@TECHNO-BITS Thanks! I've actually been thinking of doing something like that the second year of my daily.
@Kaiyani Thank you!
@Aello Floaty rocks, when all else fails.
@Cuthalion Awesome! My tips is dive right into it! You will little by little understand how to break down a complicated image. I'll post a more thorough respons on your profile later, bonus points if you have a landscape painting that I can critique by then! :)
As for the underpainting, I just really prefer starting from something warm and darker rather than a screeming white canvas. And I get free color variation from the dark reds that bleed through.
