I have Pokemon Yellow (the original), it was great! Not much post play value though when you don't have a friend who has a copy to play with though xD

I never encountered MISSINGNO., but I've read of it. I learned about the R/B/Y Mew glitch AFTER I already played the game, and long-since activated the flag necessary to permorm the glitch >n< so no Mew for me.

BUT! I got a program device called Monster Brain (aka Brain Boy by Pelican Accessories) that can reprogram any item and pokemon without the use of codes, AND you can make multiple saves and reload any save onto the game! I only used it on my Silver version though, but it was awesome! (my Silver version has a dry save battery...)

i hope missingno is in the eshop release omg. always my favorite thing to do in the originals, though i havent had red/blue since about 1999 when i traded them for pokemon yellow and a charizard holographic card

I suggest going on eBay and getting a Monster Brain then. I've had my Silver version "save data corrupted" and then I just reload an older save an VOILA it's all back again :D It's literally the predecessor of Powersaves. Only works on the original Pokemon games for cheats, but I think the save/reload works on any original Gameboy game with saves (never tried it though cuz all I got is Pkmn and Tetris xD)

You can change your trainer's name, your rivals, any move on any pkmn in your party (ex: a Magikarp with Psychic, Siesmic Toss, Earthquake and Transform!?) and of course, badges and money.

Make sure the Monsterbrain excepts the versions you have cuz they made 3 of them... One only works for R/B/Y (known as Brain Boy, blue label on it), another for R/B/Y/G/S (Master Brain, gold label), and then Monster Brain, pink label and works from Red to Crystal. I have the Monster Brain (Crystal able) and it's awesome. I got it brand new for $5.

I have the orginal red on gameboy. Maybe I'd try to find missingno just to get revenge on it xD then power save later.

Aello and Gills are on to something. If you can catch missingno various things happen in the game, why? because it was a removed pokemon of some sort. Flying/normal type? watergun and mystery moves? was it a pokemon we may never see back in the games?

Did you know on MC you can delete the 'splashes' text file. Then at the main menu it will show 'MISSINGNO' as the yellow text,

i got missingo , i had and red and blue and still have one of the games in my gameboy poket.
this glitch made me have trouble loding the game and and changed passable texetures to non passable .it also swaped the images of my pokemon for pokemon trainers and mew in the hall of fame but that all i remember
since it was a bird pokemon i always thought it was that when lugia was added that was missingo
