In one episode, Rarity uses the word "mule" as an insult. A mule is what you get when a donkey and a horse breed, but donkeys are portrayed as equals in FiM, so why? Is this some sort of fantastic racism? Like mixed-race couples fifty odd years ago irl, but with sentient equines?
