Just out of curiosity, for those that paint on 3DS: do you look at the top screen instead of the bottom one whilst painting? I find myself doing this at least, only subconsciously glancing at the bottom screen once in a while to check my coordination.

For me, mostly the bottom screen, but sometimes the top.

I mostly look at the bottom screen, and sometimes I just look at the top screen to see how I'm doing. I tend to zoom in a lot too, even when it's just for simple things.

Top. because it helps to keep up with proportions when you zoom because top never changes size.

I always look at the bottom screen. My sense of coordination is terrible. xD As Jaslet said, I prefer to zoom in, even for bigger pieces. :3

This is magnificent!

@Krazy Katt111 Interesting. In my case I suspect that I'm just very used to drawing on a tablet, looking att the computer screen.

@I_WILL_shoot_you For sure! It's easy to lose the composition if you stay zoomed in too much.

@Blue_Eyes That's pretty much what I thought I was doing until I paid attention to it.

@Jaslet Makes sense :)

@EnigmaXKnight Yeah exactly, your strokes become smaller and more precise, but you can still see the big picture.

@Aello I see, I see. Thank you!

@CloakedInGravity Haha, I suppose that's the more natural way of doing in comparison to drawing on paper.

@Imber66 Cool, you seem to be in the majority then.
Interesting stuff, thanks guys!

Wow, this looks gorgeous! The lighting and fading effect look awesome!

I have always looked at the bottom screen, but now that I have a tablet, I will have to get used to looking at a screen while drawing!
