bits which are purple turn these colours due to a certain emotion:
Envy - Green
Normal - Purple
Angry/Rage - Red
Jelousy - Yellow
Sadness - Light Blue
Pleasure/Embarrassment/Blushy - Pink

Re: I'm not entirely sure, but I think Envy is more to do with annoyance over a person because they're better than them kind of thing, ie: Envious of his/her good looks, whereas Jealousy is more to do with possesion, if you get what I mean, like jealous of what one possesses, ie: A large house
