Re: Here, mangoes and bananas are the cheapiest things ever. You can buy four full-ripe mangoes for $1 and you get a handful of bananas for the same price. El Salvador is a tropical rainforest country so they're pretty common. I didn't know France was actually cold :o. I thought it was more of a mild-kind-of-warm-but-not-really climate (Creating adjectives is fun) XD.

And your grandparents seem to like to cook. Everything you've said seems really delicious *q*.

El Salvador is a really small country so there's not much climate difference between regions. It's always hot and humid most of the time so no snow for us. In this season is mostly dry and windy; although today was kind of hot.
The only fresh parts around here are the higher regions in the north and west were there are a lots of coffee plantations.

In my family, my dad and my grandmother (mother's side) are the only ones that like to cook XD.
Also, ORANGE flavored and white chocolate frosted sablés *O*?
Orange is my favorite flavor and I love sablés X3. I MUST HAVE THEM. @_@

Haha, wikipedia has the answer of almost anything XD. And yes, we only have coasts in the Pacific Ocean. And by the incident of Brazil, are you referring to the toxic mud that has contaminated the Atlantic Ocean? If it's that, yes. People don't really talk about that. I usually get news via my dad since he likes to be updated with most things.

And yes, fruits here are really juicy if get them in the market; but if you go to a supermarket, they're are usually old so those ones are not that tasty. I believe fruits in France must be of highest quality.

Let's see, my Christmas?
I wouldn't say it was particularly fun since we pretty much didn't had a party, but the cooking of my grandmother... Where do I begin? Everything was so delicious *-*. The turkey was perfectly roasted and this exquisite plum sauce. There were LOTS of different salads as the eye could see (Ok. I'm exaggerating. There were six, but it seemed like a lot compared to other years n_n'). The rice with cheese (Forgot the name of the dish) was worth the whole trip to my grandmother's house. The thing I enjoyed the most was the cheesecake. That thing... it is worth to die for @_@. Words doesn't do it justice.

Afterwards we went to my grandmother's sister's house. My cousins were lightning fireworks there.

I got scared about three times because someone brought "Morteros". Those fireworks do a really loud explosion. I think they are suppossed to be forbidden by the law due to various accidents involving them, but it seems that the policemen were on vacations too º-º.

I guess the food was the only thing that made my Christmas. Everyone went to bed pretty early XD.
