Cyrus Ialan is a 20 year old pirate who grew up in the landmass of Droplett. Since she was young she was a very daring tomboy who had a loving mother and a brash father who was the captain of a crew of mighty pirates. At the age of 14 she was brought on as the only female crew member after her mother passed away leaving the crew her scythe, which hung over the bed of the widowed leader of the crew. As time passed Cyrus became the best member of the crew besides her father. Sadly Cyrus was seeing the harder parts of the job. She begrudgingly helped the band of pirates steal from a poor town, destroy the land, take lives that shouldn't have been taken, and she left the women to be abused in multiple ways by the rest of the crew. With that on her head she couldn't help but hate herself as well as her crew, as well as her father, who couldn't care less about the situation and put her concern to her being a woman. Cyrus was enraged and challenged him to a duel, winner leads the crew. He accepted and held nothing back. Leaving his daughter bloody and battered he said that she would never be understood by warriors of his calibur. He believed that with strength the fear of moral standards fades as the power is there's to control and no one should question their power or motives. Cyrus, fully recovered time after decided to challenge his thinking. She snuck into his room and took her mothers scythe. A weapon her father hated, saying it was a fools weapon for a pirate to wield. Only out of love for his wife did he keep it. Cyrus stole the scythe and rushed off the ship through a life boat. The crew tried to stop her. Her father also running after her. Cyrus ended up beating the crew and evading her father. She made it and when the crew tried to shoot her down her father stopped them. Not only is it her daughter but she had the only momento left by his wife. As she finds land Cyrus decides that she'll prove her father wrong. While she never felt bad about stealing from the rich, she hated taking from people who didn't have anything to give. She hated what her father did and what she helped him do. She made it her life goal, to take the power her father and create a new life for her, her father and her crew.

Close. Cyrus' has 2 goals. One is finding a warrior who has great power but also a more pure code of conduct on when and how they should use that power. Her main goal is to defeat her father and guide him and his crew to a better moral code. Whether or not that involves killing her father is up to his willingness to give in if she could defeat him

So did she already know how to use the scythe? What did she use to combat her father? Why did her mother use it, and what did his father think of it? I know he said it was foolish for her to have it, but why did he tolerate it I guess..?

Yes. Hand to hand combat. She used it because it was like a family heirloom, and Cyrus' dad hated it but he let her use it out of love for her. It was usually his point whenever her parents had a fight lol
