I personally find drawing pictures or writing songs about it extremely comforting :)
It's ok to be hurt, so don't be afraid to let yourself feel the pain. Sometimes we think we have to always be happy in life, but happiness is at its best when it comes after sadness. So cry or yell into your pillow if you need to. You can also write out your feelings. The point is to release the pain and not hold onto it. Part of letting go of the pain also means forgiveness, forgiving the person who broke your heart and forgiving yourself for letting yourself get to the point where you were vulnerable to be heartbroken. No one is perfect and we're all working through our feelings as we figure out this life. It means we will hurt each other and ourselves. Accepting this doesn't require you to close your heart. No, to live, you must open your heart. It means, accepting you were hurt and you will be hurt again, but at the same time learning from the hurt instead of caring it as a burden.
If you aren't hurt by the loss of something or someone, it means you didn't really care about them. So, hurt is a sign that you cared and a sign of what you are capable of: caring. So, maybe you'll say you can't love again, but of course you will because it's in your nature to care. So, to get over loss is not about closing off feelings but accepting them. Love is a part of you, so let that love allow you to forgive others and yourself. In the end, the only way to truly heal from a broken heart is to love again. So, don't be afraid to do that. Maybe something will happen and you'll lose them, but knowing that posibility now should only make you love them more and truly treasure your time with them. This life and everything and everyone in it is temporary, so take nothing and no one for granted. Love daily and in every way because the only true tragedy is not a broken heart but one that has never loved enough to even hurt. *HUGS* You'll get through this. :3
Ive been through it too. #BestFriendsBrother lol. But what i did is cried and turned up the Taylor Swift lololol XD Surround yourself with your closest freinds and they'll be your shelter from the weather. Its tough, but you'll get through this. One T swift song at a time haha
