anyways... you should read up on forgivesin/feralpheonix's soft chara things on tumblr... because they're much, much better at explaining things. or just look around for soft chara??? aaa, I'm tired.

but here she goes anyways!!

there's a lot of little hints in game that chara, is in fact, your narrator, like the "dirty jokes" you tell woshua and how the narrator gets quiet at specifically asgore, toriel, and the kiD!! so they're present, even in the full pacifist route!! but if you teach this angry child that hurting people will get you places.. they are impressionable and then they become bad chara. it depends on you, the player's choice!

Hmm. I never really looked at Chara as either way other than as a thing you could meet and that kind of hung around in the backround. (Like Flowey [I guess??])

But I like this way much better than the "Khara ish Satane" dealio. :y

But the end of the No Mercy ending did freak me out... o,vo

one of the biggest things that suggests chara is your narrator.. is the "it's you" vs "it's me, chara" at the mirror! but yeah, thanks for listening to me ramble. and it's okay to have evil chara, but just know, they weren't child evil until you taught them that would bring them happiness.

and if they are the narrator they are a horrible punster like toriel... that's illegal

I've actually never thought of it that way. I always thought his narrations were the red ones in 'genocide' runs. But this is really interesting, and it changes everything! :o
