"This isn't bullying, but it's a social issue. I have social anxiety, and I can't really talk much to my only friends. Nor could I introduce myself to new ones. I just... don't know what to say to them. And I have no time at school to talk to people. I feel like the outcast, and I have no idea how to fix that. Does anyone have advice on how to introduce myself/communicate? Please?"

Oh boy, do I know what 'outcast' feels like. But I think all you have to do is give a smile and say, "Hi." Then they can ask the questions. That way, you don't have to lead the conversation, but you can still get to know people.

There are actually a lot of people who feel this way. You can spot them sitting in the corners and not talking to others. The thing is, they're easier to talk to then all those expressive people, so you could approach them and become their friend. Since you are busy with school, maybe they are too. You can ask about an assigment, ask for help/advice or give help/advice. Pay attention to the classes they're in. People like it if you notice them. This will also give you things to talk about by starting with a question about the class. For example, if you share a class, you could ask if they understood something the teacher said that you missed. If they aren't, you can ask if that class is any easier because you feel like you're doing schoolwork all the time. Don't worry about being awkward. Odds are, they'll feel the same way. See them not as an outsider, but as part of a unique group that you're a part of too. Once you start, it becomes easier.
