A Real Raftcoon by Astrogeon

Greyson: "It looks so, SO-!"
Lyra: "Adorable? Cute? Dorky?"
Greyson: "No. It looks like a raccoon."

Raftcoons are a strange species that share common traits to the average raccoon. The raftcoon, however, possesses aquatic capabilities that allow it to swim. Furthermore, its tail is highly buoyant, expands in size and prevents it from drowning in water. It seems to enjoy riding on its long tail down the river as if its tail is a boat or something.

Real raftcoons have a normal tail.

Now I see why they have 'raft' in their name.
So if they are like water-bound raccoons, does that mean that they only go through trash cans near the shorelines?
