people. seriously. by FlyingKittyBagels

#css3 #css

First of all... DO NOOOOOT CHANGE YOUR USERNAME WHILE CSS IS GOING ON! This makes things hard on both the host (aka ME, at least for this year) and your partner! Just DON'T, please... -__-)"

Secondly, entries are due on the 29th of November. Late entries may or may not be accepted, so submit your entries while you still can!

Finally, ask questions if you have them! Clear up those confusions and just leave a comment below. I won't bite, I promise.

(I'll be answering questions on this painting in case anyone else wanted to know what my response was for a question)

Well, it's more tedious than it is difficult. The most trouble I have, however; is when people are too vague or if they change their username without informing me about the matter...

When a description is too vague (not stating their request, their drawing preferences, etc.), I look through that person's gallery/read their description to get a better idea of who I should be pairing them with. If that's not enough, I'll just leave a comment or something.

Username troubles are the worst... I have to fish through the #css3 tag to find an artist's post (and, ultimately, their new username). If I wasn't writing down such a detailed list of each person's respective request/what they will/won't draw, then I would have an even harder time of it finding their post! Good thing I also can use some visual memory to associate the latter with their art style... ^^;

I don't know if I'll be doing this again next year, but I want to find a way to make it easier on both the host and the participants... there's so many problems with how #css runs, which creates a lot of work for the host. A simple webpage would be nice, but I'll just write some guidelines for the event instead, for future hosts to follow.

I'm having some issues with parts of my painting description deleting itself, so I hope my entry picture is still visible in the tag. If it's not then please let me know.

Nevermind I think I fixed it.

Hope you're not having too much trouble pairing everyone.

Question:
Are you still gonna do it? I mean, theres ALOT of people joining

Well, it would be a huge dissapointment to everyone else if I bailed out, right? Besides, I said I would do this... and I will.

I've been keeping and updating a list of people as more entries came in. And I've been pairing people up ever since it felt like there were enough people to do so. There's still quite a few people left, but I should be able to get everyone paired and notified by early December (unless an unexpected flood of people joins in today, haha).
Maybe I should leave the notifying/commenting to someone else? Meh, I'll worry about that when I finish the list. Entries are due by tomorrow, so if you're joining, you better do it quick.

"What if I post it tomorrow? Can I still join #css3?"

If your post falls under the #css3 tag before my post declaring 'no more entries,' then you barely made it. Anything after that is late, and has but a small chance of being paired with another artist.

The reason for this is, well... with everyone else already paired up, it becomes harder to get you a good partner. There's less people to choose from, and there might only be one, or even no other artist out there who will draw your request. And if I go on accepting lots of late entries, that means less time for those people to draw their request before December is over.

You are given about a month to draw for your partner. If you need more time than that, work something out with your partner...

There are currently 214 people participating... if the number is odd, then I might join too.
