A few months ago, I realized it's not really too sad when someone dies. As people, we are a tree, and a person is a leaf. Uncountable numbers of leaves, all unique, grow every year. But sometimes, a leaf will fall. The leaf will die and turn to dust, but the tree's still there. You could cry because there'll never be another leaf like it, but the tree is alive. And honestly? The leaf isn't even gone, it'll just break down and its energy will go back into the earth, creating new life. #phlox
