Should've posted this earlier in retrospect, but anyway, my thoughts on the Nintendo Direct.
To be honest, there wasn't much that really caught my interest (except SpaceGodzilla's new Pokemon form, if ya know what I mean) except for this bit.
Honestly, I only watched it for the Smash Bros portion, expecting some ballot-related revelation. Instead I get this guy, who may or may not be a ballot winner, and now have to wait ANOTHER MONTH to (possibly) get ballot information!
Considering that's the entire reason I watched the video, that kinda peeved me off. But, what can I do? I'll just have to wait...more...again...

I overheard that this was a result from the Japanese Smash Ballot. Naturally, Cloud would outrank many if their choices, if not all.
As for the next announcement, i can only say it will be interesting, none of that hype stuff.

And there is no ballot winner
The ballot was just a suggestion poll.

From what I heard the number of votes does affect who does get in and who doesn't, but it isn't the deciding factor. Therefore, there is no "ballot winner", just whoever Sakurai thinks is the best choice. Still, the number of votes probably has a big influence.
And I doubt Cloud is from the ballot. He's just there because he's unexpected and they needed something to keep us happy since they couldn't put all that ballot info in a direct unless it's a special direct for the ballot.
